Since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24 In 2022, Ukraine was subjected to heavy artillery fire, rocket and airstrikes, as well as the use of land mines and cluster munitions. Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) Liaison Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities in the field of weapons and ammunition management, ensuringfostering interaction with government bodies and other key partners, as well as supporting the implementation of MAG projects in accordance with international standards (MOSAIC, IATG). The position is aimed at improving security through effective weapons management, conducting technical assessments and organizing training for stakeholders.

Duties:

• Establishing and maintaining effective interaction with key stakeholders (Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Police and others partners).
• Coordinating activities in the field of weapons and ammunition management (WAM) according to MAG standards.
• Organizing and holding meetings with stakeholders, ensuring their involvement and understanding of the role of MAG.
• Monitoring communication and correspondence regarding WAM activities.
• Conducting technical assessments (in particular mobile weapons depots) under the guidance of technical leader.
• Preparation and conducting trainings for partners and stakeholders.
• Preparation of weekly reports (completed tasks, challenges, plan for the next week).
• Participation in planning and improving the efficiency of MAG projects.
• Ensuring compliance with MOSAIC, IATG standards and internal MAG procedures.
• Compliance with health, safety and security requirements during execution tasks.

Requirements:

• Higher education (preferably in the relevant field);
• Understanding the internal mechanisms of state bodies of Ukraine and processes approval
• Experience in the police, military or defense sector would be a significant advantage
• Experience in managing or coordinating WAM activities;
• Experience in training and knowledge transfer;
• Developed organizational and coordination skills skills;
• Ability to develop and adhere to operational and safety procedures;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills;
• A confident PC user (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Ability to work in deadlines and under pressure;
• Experience working in international or humanitarian organizations will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of languages:

  • Ukrainian - fluent (oral and written).

  • English is not lower than Upper-Intermediate (B2).
