We are looking for tTechnical Director (Product Lead), who will lead the creation of a short-range anti-aircraft complex on base of high-speed UAV interceptors — from the concept to the deployment of mass production.

The project is an automated air target interception complex (Air-to-Air). It is a "smart" alternative to expensive anti-aircraft missiles: a reusable or cheap disposable interceptor capable of destroying enemy reconnaissance and attack UAVs (like Shahed). We create a product that is ahead of the market in terms of the cost of target destruction and the efficiency of operation in automatic mode.
The technical essence of the challenge is to solve the problem of intercepting high-speed and maneuverable objects. This requires the development of a high-speed glider/copter with high thrust armament, the implementation of guidance algorithms on oncoming and overtaking courses (Proportional Navigation Guidance), as well as the integration ofComputer Vision for the final capture of the target. Critically important is the integration of the complex into the general system of situational awareness (receiving target designation from radars/PER). All engineering solutions are based on the principles ofDesign for Manufacturing (DFM) — the creation of mass "iron" that can be produced in thousands.
This project is just the beginning of your professional growth within the company. R&D roadmap is drawn up for years ahead. The success of this project opens the way to the creation of swarm-to-swarm interception systems and protection of strategic objects. The main purpose of the position: creation of a working "air shield" — transformation of the project from prototypes to a serial product with confirmed crash statistics.
Desired competencies:
Management of complex R&D projects
Understanding the principles of missile/drone guidance, interception algorithms and flight stabilization at high overloads.
Understanding the operation of systems for optical acquisition of targets in the air (detection against a complex background).
Experience of combining "board" with ground systems (radar, acoustic sensors).
Knowledge of the specifics of high-speed aircraft.
Understanding DFM and series preparation.
Experience in building effective engineering teams.
Working trips within the country for testing and meetings with partners are planned.
