For 29 years in a row, we have been conducting the kindest action "Saint Nicholas - for children in need" and we are concerned about lonely old women. "Keeping the faith and helping those in need" is the constant motto of the Order of Malta, whose immediate organizational entity and successor of the spiritual heritage is the Malta Relief Service.
Malta Aid invites the cooperation of supervisors to provide online and offline services for two projects.
Objective of involvement in the project 1
The objective of providing supervision services is to provide professional group supervisions for project workers working with children, with an emphasis on complex case analysis, decision support, improvement of communication skills and crisis response situation, as well as preventing emotional burnout among team members.
Scope of work
The supervisor should:
- conduct professional group supervision sessions for project staff who are involved in working with children in the field;
- facilitate structured discussion of complex cases related to emotional, behavioral or protective aspects children;
- provide guidance on safe and ethical approaches to working with children, including children with disabilities, children who have experienced trauma, or children with psychosocial needs;
- introduce participants to tools and techniques related to emotional regulation, stress management and supportive communication;
- ensure the confidentiality of all information and cases discussed;
- provide recommendations for improving the quality of interaction with children and strengthening the team's resilience.
Format and schedule
- Type of supervision: group
- Number of sessions: 6 sessions of group supervision
- Duration of each session: 2 hours
- Period of implementation: January - June
- Format: online
- Size groups: up to 20 participants per session
The purpose of involvement in the project 2
The purpose of providing supervision services is to conduct professional group supervisions for project specialists (psychologists and social workers) with an emphasis on team building, team cohesion, team adaptation to working conditions and organizational issues, as well as prevention of emotional burnout among team members.
Scope work
The supervisor must:
- conduct professional group supervision sessions for project specialists;
- facilitate structured discussion of organizational issues, issues related to work efficiency;
- conduct practical exercises on team building, adaptation and flexibility of team work;
- acquaint participants with tools and techniques related to emotional regulation, stress management and supporteffective communication;
- ensure the confidentiality of all discussed information and cases;
- provide recommendations for improving the quality of interaction between team members and office workers and strengthening its sustainability;
- provide a brief report on your work with the team, as well as prescribe recommendations that will help to improve the process of interaction between specialists.
Format and schedule
- Type of supervision: group
- Number of sessions: 5 sessions of group supervision
- Duration of each meeting: 3 hours
- Period of implementation: February - June 2026
- Format: offline at the address of Lviv, in the premises of the psychological support and support center
- Group size: up to 25 participants.
Qualification Requirements
The supervisor must meet the following minimum qualification requirements:
- high education in psychology, clinical psychology, psychotherapy or related fields (master’s degree);
- certified training in supervision, psychotherapy, counseling or in related fields is an advantage;
- minimum 3 years of practical experience working with children, adolescents or families in mental health, psychosocial support (MHPSS), education, social work or protection;
- experience of group supervision or professional case discussions for psychologists, social workers, educators or multidisciplinary teams;
- strong facilitation skills and communications;
- Experience of working in humanitarian or crisis contexts is considered an advantage.
- Fluent command of the Ukrainian language, knowledge of the English language is an advantage.
