Our activity in Ukraine began in 2014. Since then, we have greatly expanded our geographic presence, providing support to children and families affected by war. We work in areas such as education, child protection, food security and social support, as well as advocacy activities aimed at ensuring lasting change in children's lives.
Position Objective:
The HR Development and Engagement Manager will enhance the employee experience in Ukraine by integrating HR development, talent development, HR and inclusive practices. The role involves supporting employees and managers at a local level, including handling employee complaints and complaints, ensuring they are resolved fairly and consistently, and implementing global framework approaches in a local context.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Development and Management talent
Lead and oversee the full learning cycle — from onboarding to continued professional development, ensuring all employees have access to meaningful learning opportunities from day one.
Support managers in identifying high-potential employees and development needs; develop targeted programs to strengthen competencies, taking into account the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI).
Monitor the passage and completion of mandatory trainings; collaborate with managers to ensure full compliance and timely execution.
Coordinate succession planning processes for critical roles, ensuring a fair and inclusive approach to identifying high-potential employees.
Conduct leadership development programs and managerial competencies, providing coaching support to managers on feedback, employee development and inclusive team management.
Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs using metrics, feedback and impact analysis, refining them for continuous improvement.
Staff engagement and corporate culture
Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees with issues of interaction with personnel, promoting the principles of equality, diversity and inclusiveness in all processes.
Managescases involving staff interactions, including complaints, appeals and work matters, ensuring fair, confidential and timely review.
Promote a culture of trust, psychological safety and a sense of belonging.
Support managers in working with team dynamics, conducting performance conversations and handling employee complaints from taking into account equity and potential bias.
Continuous improvement and strategic input
Proactively identify opportunities to improve development, engagement and inclusion practices at country level.
Contribute to HR strategy and country planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, HR approaches and priorities DEI.
Support initiatives that promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, high performance and fair treatment.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, psychology, business administration or related field.
Experience
5+ years of HR experience, including involvement in learning and development, organizational development or staff interaction, preferably in an emergency environment situational/humanitarian or development.
Experience in international or matrix organizations preferred.
Experience with LMS or learning platforms (eg Oracle, Cornerstone).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment.
HR/supervisory experience team.
Experience in conducting trainings or capacity-building activities
