BF "Right to Protection" (Fund) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and carries out direct legal aid programs throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.

Project "Complex services for the protection of the civilian population affected by hostilities and improving the resilience skills of workers who come to help first" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons and the population affected by hostilities at the national, local and individual levels. Within the framework of this project, during 2026, the Fund will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons in the regions of Ukraine. 

The project is looking forSpecialist (position) in monitoring the situation of IDPs inm. Mykolaiv (Mykolaiv region).

Duties and tasks

Under the direct supervision of the security coordinator and the regional leader, the employee should: style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">monitor compliance with the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons (hereinafter - IDPs) and persons injured as a result of hostilities on an ongoing basis in given locations in accordance with the existing methodology;

  • visit state bodies that provide services for IDPs, places of compact settlement of IDPs, activities aimed at IDPs, etc.;

  • to communicate with IDPs, persons affected by hostilities, representativesgovernment institutions and non-governmental organizations, in order to collect information on the humanitarian situation as a whole;

  • to provide reports in a timely manner on a daily basis, in the established form, based on the results of monitoring visits;

  • if necessary, conduct emergency monitoring visits to places of military incidents within the region (this may also apply to weekends)

  • prepare reports on a specific incident and/or the humanitarian situation in general;

  • identify the most vulnerable IDPs and their needs;

  • clarify the laws for IDPs and victims of hostilities;

  • provide other individual assistance to IDPs; style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">

    timely and fully display information in the IDPs CRM system;

  • identify potential beneficiaries for participation in the IPA cash program;

  • perform other duties as needed;

  • understanding and compliance with the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.

    higher education (preferably: sociology, law, journalism);

  • preferred knowledge of human rights;

  • readiness for significant work in the "fields" (outside the office);

  • readiness for a large number of trips and more than normal working hours;

  • knowledge and understanding of the legislation on IDPs and the territory of the OOC;

  • the ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;

  • skills to prepare reports (analytical, on a separate incident);

  • understanding humanitarian principles;

  • excellent communication skills, readiness for daily communication with people (IDPs, representatives of government institutions);

  • preference is given to IDPs who lost their jobs due to displacement;

  • self-motivation;

  • flexibility.

  • Residence in the specified location and awareness of the local situation will be significant advantages.
