The Right to Protection, CF
GENERAL INFORMATION
BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian Charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of Ukrainian charitable foundations.
The project "Complex services for the protection of the civilian population affected by hostilities and improving the resilience skills of first responders" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, the population affected by hostilities, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.
The geography of activity includes Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.

Duties and tasks
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Protection Coordinator, and the overall direction of the Protection Coordinator and the Regional Team Leader, the employee shall:
Identifying target groups: Searching for veterans, their family members, the elderly and civilians with disabilities who need social support.
Analysis of needs: Conducting a comprehensive assessment to determine the required amount of social services and types of assistance for each beneficiary.
Home care: Providing practical assistance in self-care, housekeeping and movement in everyday life.
Rehabilitation support: Assistance in obtaining technical means of rehabilitation and training in the skills of their effective use.
Representation of interests: Informing beneficiaries about their rights and support in interaction with various services and specialists.
Assistance in obtaining additional services: Referral of beneficiaries to specialized services for medical, psychological, legal assistance or temporary shelter.
Partner interaction: Maintaining active contact with local authorities, state institutions and international humanitarian organizations.
Digital accounting: Entering up-to-date data on the provided services into the project's internal accounting system.
Analytical work: Participation in the preparation of reports on the results of activities and the implementation of current tasks within the framework of project implementation.
Comply with the Code of Conduct and Foundation Policies.
Professional requirements
Higher education preferably in the field of social, legal, psychological or humanitarian sciences;
Understanding current legislation, types and basic measures for the provision of social services will be an advantage;
Experience of work or cooperation with the following state institutions and institutions: centers for the provision of social services, centers for the provision of administrative services, case services
children, territorial centers of social services, management of the pension fund of Ukraine, departments of social protection of the population;
From 2 years of experience working in humanitarian organizations, with people with limited mobility (the elderly, people with disabilities) and other vulnerable categories of the population - will be an advantage;
Experience working with veterans and their family members, as well as with internally displaced persons - will be an advantage;
Ability to speak the client's language and prepare educational materials;
Ability to establish contact with other colleagues and coordinate joint tasks;
Understanding humanitarian principles.
Residence in the specified location and awareness of the local situation will be significant advantages.
