BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of war, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights. population and improving the resilience skills of first responders" aims to protect and support the rights of internally displaced persons and war-affected populations at the national, local and individual levels. As part of this project, during 2025, the Fund will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons in the regions of Ukraine.
The project is looking forSpecialist/officer on social issues for work with vulnerable categories of the population (Care at home) in the city of Mykolaiv (Mykolaiv Region).
OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying persons with disabilities and/or elderly persons in need of social support;
- Assessing the needs of beneficiaries in social services and social assistance;
- Providing social services according to needs, as well as home care services (assistance in self-care, movement in household conditions, in the organization of interaction with other specialists and services; assistance in providing technical means of rehabilitation, training in their use;
- Assistance in obtaining additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, temporary shelter, etc.) referral, if necessary, to the relevant general or specialized support services for affected persons and / or other subjects;
- Maintaining contact with local authorities and its institutions, as well as other humanitarian organizations;
- Participation in writing analytical reports, entering data on the services provided to the internal data accounting program and performing other current tasks in within the framework of thelization of the project.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education preferably in the field of social, legal, psychological or humanitarian sciences;
- Understanding the current legislation, types and main measures for the provision of social services will be an advantage;
- Experience of work or cooperation with such state institutions and institutions: centers for the provision of social services, centers for the provision of administrative services, services for children, territorial centers of social services, management of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, departments of social protection of the population;
- From 2 years of experience working in humanitarian organizations, with people with reduced mobility (the elderly, people with disabilities) and other vulnerable categories of the population - will be an advantage;
- Experience of working with internally displaced persons - will be an advantage;
- Ability to speak the client's language and prepare educational materials;
- Ability to establish contact with other colleagues and coordinate joint tasks;
- Understanding and compliance with the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies;
- Preference is given to candidates who have their own car.
