Project name:Provision of safe, decent housing and specialized services for the most vulnerable IDPs in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions">Organization:"Tenth of April", an executive partner of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

"Tenth of April" is a public organization that works to improve the protection of the population affected by the conflict, by providing legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, and by involving communities in responding to emergency situations and the search for long-term solutions, in cooperation with the authorities and with the support of their potential, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.

In partnership with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), with the financial support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (UHF), we are implementing a project aimed at providing safe, dignified and affordable reception and accommodation conditions for evacuees and internally displaced persons with mobility impairments, the elderly and persons with disabilities in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

Duties:

  • To carry out initial identification of places of accommodation of internally displaced persons (IDPs);

  • To carry out monitoring and assessment of actual needs of IDPs in places of accommodation Centers);

  • Ensure further support for measures to improve living conditions and humanitarian response in the places of placement of IDPs;

  • Implement measures aimed at improving IDPs in places of residence;"> referral to other project specialists for legal, psychological and other necessary assistance;

  • Conduct the formation, registration of cases and document flow in accordance with the established methodology;

  • Make regular visits to the centers/places of aid recipients;

  • Conduct humanitarian and other non-food aid in accordance with the established methodology resources;

  • Interact with representatives of authorities, enterprises, institutions, organizations, public activists and community representatives in order to initially identify aid recipients, provide support and exchange information about opportunities;

  • To carry out general monitoring of the implementation of the rights and freedoms of target categories, to identify cases of discriminatory treatment of aid recipients;

  • Participate in meetings, meetings, committee meetings related to the implementation of the project, as instructed by the management;

  • Provide daily reporting on the results of their activities, as well as other reporting in accordance with the schedule established by the Project Manager "Protection of Internally Displaced Persons, Persons Affected by Conflict, and Community Empowerment" or the President of the Organization.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in humanities, social sciences or other relevant field.

  • Experience in humanitarian projects is welcome.

  • Knowledge of the spoken and written Ukrainian language.

  • Knowledge of spoken and written English is welcome.

  • Excellent computer skills (must be MS Office).

  • Readiness for business trip.

  • Ability to listen to understand the needs, requirements and preferences of individuals and project stakeholders.

  • Stress resistance and psychological maturity for working with vulnerable categories of citizens.

  • Tolerant behavior in order to respect people of different cultures, ages, genders, races, religions, traditions.

  • Critical thinking to objectively analyze needs and benefits and find the best solution.
