Purpose of the position:

  • Ensuring quality provision of psychosocial support to children, adolescents and adults by conducting structured MHPSS sessions and facilitating activities within the approach"Safe of families", with the aim of strengthening psychological resilience, improving family interaction, reducing stress levels and increasing the skills of safe and supportive parenting in vulnerable communities, in accordance with international standards and donor requirements.

  • Provide psychosocial support for children and parents by involving them in interactive sessions aimed at building strong and positive relationships in the family; to give parents the opportunity to better understand children's behavior, to perceive children as bearers of rights with their own experience and views; contribute to the formation of parents' understanding of the peculiarities of children's development, the importance of trust, affection and the development of parental empathy.

What will you do?

  • Organization and, if necessary, individual MHPSS sessions as part of a mobile team.

  • Creation of a safe, supportive and inclusive space during sessions.

  • Adaptation of exercises and approaches according to the age, needs and context of the participants. Selection of exercises and methods taking into account the age characteristics, needs of the participants and the context of the session.

  • Creating a safe and friendly atmosphere during work.

  • Organization and holding of educational events/sessions for/together with local partners and institutions — providers of social services within the framework of the Safe Family General Approach.

  • Use of structured programs and methodical project materials.

  • Adherence to the principles of MHPSS, "Do No Harm", Safeguarding and child protection.

  • Adherence to the principles of confidentiality and protection of personal data of beneficiaries in accordance with the policies of the Organization.

  • Identification of psycho-emotional risks and timely referral of participants to relevant specialists (if necessary).

  • Participation in regular supervisions, team meetings and training events.

  • Maintenance of necessary documentation and timely submission of reports in accordance with project and donor requirements.

  • Cooperation with the social support team and other project components.

What do we expect from you?

  • Full time. Work schedule 5/2 Mon-Fri from 09:00 to 18:00 (in the office and trips to locations).
  • Higher education in psychology, social work, pedagogy or related fields.
