Education:Higher education in the field of social work, social protection,social services, integration of people with disabilities, sociology, law, humanities, humanities, social sciences or in another relevant field.

Experience jobs:

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in public or private social services for vulnerable groups or similar experience. 

  • It is desirable to have experience working with public service providers and public authorities. 

  • Service routing and mapping experience would be an advantage. 

  • Experience working/volunteering in charitable organizations is appreciated.

  • Knowledge of bureaucratic procedures for accessing government services, including registration, availability, availability, legal issues, etc. 

  • Knowledge of vulnerability, disability and intersecting needs. 

  • Excellent communication skills and strong social and consulting skills. 

  • Knowledge of technical guidelines and standards related to humanitarian work and protection will be an advantage. 

  • Experience in safeguarding and psychosocial support during emergency response would be an advantage. 

  • Ability to monitor and report, follow procedures, meet deadlines, work independently, proactively and collaborate with team members. 

  • Strong humanitarian convictions, a sense of responsibility and respect for the privacy of personal data.

  • Strong organizational skills. 

  • A confident user of Microsoft Office (with an emphasis on Excel and Word). 

KEY DUTIES:

Under the supervision of a Social Work Specialist, the Social Worker will support the implementation of social and protection projects. This position involves direct interaction with the affected population in need of social assistance/protection. The aim is to ensure that a people-centred and needs-based approach is implemented in the provision of assistance and services to people in need, with particular attention to particularly vulnerable populations such as people with disabilities and the elderly.

1. Implementation of social and protection projects

  • Provide personalized social support and support in the field of protection, including through long-term support, through the development of individual plans and goal setting.

Interact with beneficiaries, institutions, communities and other organizations to track progress and successes in meeting needs.

  • Conduct informational and educational sessions in group form for the affected population in order to support their ability to cope with various situations.
  • Support informational and educational activities to facilitate the access of PUI to the affected population.

2. Internal and external redirect

  • Conduct and accompany internal tand external referral processes for individuals or households in a safe, timely and effective manner in accordance with the PUI referral system.
  • Act as a point of contact for receiving and transmitting referrals.
  • Liaise with relevant sectoral staff within the PUI as well as with humanitarian organizations and external governmental or non-governmental services.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the network of social and protection services for referral and partnership building.

3. Assessment, Monitoring, Reporting

  • Register and track information about cases, adhering to international protection standards, and carefully fill out all necessary forms for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Implement tools and facilities for monitoring and to make sure of the expediency and effectiveness of the projects carried out.
  • To participate in the monitoring of the technical quality of social projects and protection projects and their compliance with the system of protection of the PUI.
  • To provide internal and external reporting.

4. Teamwork and Coordination

  • Participate in project team field activities, including through the Integrated Emergency Response Team, as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the identification, selection and delivery of social and protective services, and ensure a people-centred and needs-based approach to integrated and cross-sectoral aid and services provided by the IPU.
  • Participate in working group and mission meetings and provide information on protection issues.
