About

The primary objective of the position is to provide timely, responsive and needs-based support to victims, including case management, targeted cash assistance, coordination of referrals and reintegration support, in accordance with humanitarian principles, IMAS standards and DCA/NCA protection systems. 

The role aims to facilitate the functional recovery, vulnerability reduction and dignified reintegration of survivors of ERW incidents in contaminated and conflict-affected areas. 

Osponsibilities and responsibilities:

  • Conduct structured initial intake assessments and determination of eligibility for support criteria for EOD victims in accordance with programmatic requirements. 

  • Develop and regularly update Individual Assistance Plans (IAPs) based on assessed needs. 

  • Initiate targeted cash assistance processes related to medical rehabilitation, assistive devices and transportation support. 

  • Ensure compliance with informed consent and confidentiality procedures. 

  • Identify barriers to social and economic reintegration and initiate appropriate ways of support. 

  • Coordinate activities in close collaboration with the field coordinator and field teams on case reviews and prioritization.

  • Maintain professional interaction with local authorities, community structures and service providers as needed. 

  • Participate in multidisciplinary case review conferences to provide comprehensive support to victims. 

  • Coordinate activities in close cooperation with the Community Engagement Specialistand regarding appropriate response to psychological needs and referrals as needed. 

  •  

     

  • Contribute to receiving medical rehabilitation services, aids and transportation assistance. 

  • Contribute to measures aimed at reintegration, restoration of social participation and household stability. 

  • Maintain accurate and confidential personal records using unique beneficiary identifiers. 

  • Contribute to tracking program indicators, reporting and documentation. 

  • Ensure compliance with the principles of safeguarding (protection), protection of personal data and the principle of "do no harm" in all interactions. 

  •  

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in protection, case management. 

  • Experience working with people with disabilities, victims of conflict or other vulnerable groups is desirable. 

  • Experience in providing legal aid is an advantage; education or experience in the field of psychology would also be a plus. 

  • Understanding humanitarian principles and a victim-centered approach. 

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the humanitarian field. 

  • Knowledge of referral pathways and social protection systems in Ukraine is an advantage. 

Skills:

  • Strong case management and needs assessment skills. 

  • Ability to work with vulnerable populations with respect and a victim-centered approach. 

  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills. 

  • Strong coordination and communecation abilities. 

  • Ability to work responsibly with confidential and sensitive information. 

  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic humanitarian environment.
