Social programs coordinator/Coordinator of social programs in JDC Ukraine, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee

Joint is an international Jewish charitable organization that has been helping people in more than 70 countries for over 100 years. 

We support the Jewish population, help people who are in danger or in difficult life circumstances, provide humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters and catastrophes, and also support a number of various social projects aimed at the comprehensive development of members of the Jewish community of various age categories. 

Joint is opening a vacancy for a Coordinator of social programs who will become an integral part of the "Joint Ukraine" team and play a key role in realizing the mission of our organization. 

 The coordinator of social programs is responsible for:  

• Professional support of the work of accountable Joint organizations in terms of social programs.   Monitoring compliance with the rules, procedures and instructions of the Joint. 
• Budget planning for the implementation of social programs in organizations, analysis and control of budget execution
• Coordinating the activities of social programs in organizations, monitoring and controlling their implementation (conducting home visits to clients who receive services, checking organization documentation, etc.). 
• Preparation of reports on the implementation of programs, analysis of their effectiveness and recommendations for their improvement. 
• Working with a database
• Providing professional support to employees of funded organizations

Required qualifications and skills:

• Higher education (preferably in the field of social work, psychology, management)
• Experience of working in the social sphere, in the organization and coordination of social projects
• Knowledge of the principles of social work and social assistance
• Professional competencies: planning and budgeting skills, project management, organizational skills, confident PC user (MS Office, Word, Excel, e-mail). Database skills. 
• Personal qualities - responsibility, critical and analytical thinking, effective interpersonal communication skills, adaptability and willingness to quickly learn new things

• To effectively perform tasks, you must be ready for business trips
