Malteser International is an international humanitarian aid organization operating under the auspices of the Sovereign Order of Malta. For more than 60 years, we have provided relief and recovery support to people during and after conflicts and disasters around the world. Christian values and humanitarian principles form the basis of our activity. In more than 30 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, we support people in need, regardless of their religion, background or political beliefs.
Since the start of the war in eastern Ukraine in 2014, Malteser International has been working with three local partner organizations in the field of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). Since the full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022, Malteser International has rapidly expanded its humanitarian operations to respond to the growing needs across the country, partnering with more than 8 local organizations to provide critical assistance to people affected by the crisis. Today, Malteser International's humanitarian response includes the distribution of food, hygiene kits, winter kits, housing assistance and MPCA in hard-to-reach areas of Eastern and Southern Ukraine to reduce challenges and risks to people's lives. The international network of the Order of Malta supports people affected by the war in Ukraine and will continue to do so as long as help is needed.
To implement its activities in Ukraine, Malteser International is looking for a Senior Program Coordinator - a national position that reports to the program manager, ensures timely and high-quality project management within the humanitarian response program MI in Ukraine in coordination with local partners.
The Senior Program Manager supports project management functions while scaling activities and establishing cooperation with new potential partners, conducts field visits and needs assessments, develops quality project proposals, provides technical support to partners to ensure quality and timely implementation of projects, and supports reporting requirements for MI, clusters, partners and institutional donors.

Salary according to qualifications and experience, from 105,000 hryvnias before taxes
Medical insurance, psychosocial support (PSS). development of project proposals, implementation of projects, monitoring, evaluation, preparation of reports and coordination with clusterseras, HRP, MI projects and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs).
Contributes to effective communication and cooperation with partner organizations, in particular supports the preparation of reports for partners and donors.
Supports conducting monitoring visits to the field, identifying needs and gaps, as well as developing the capacity of partner staff through training, evaluation and development of plans actions.
Represents MI at relevant cluster meetings, meetings, events and conferences.
Establishes and maintains relationships with partners, authorities, donors and other stakeholders, and also accompanies official visitors during field visits as needed.
Your profile:
Work experience with partners using a participatory approach, as well as experience coordinating responses with various participants, including state authorities, national/local organizations, NGOs and UN structures.
Ability to achieve results and maintain consistently high standards of professional behavior, including when working independently.
Fluency in Ukrainian and English (oral and in writing).
Higher education in social sciences/social work, child protection, human rights or related field. Master's degree or professional certification in project management (e.g. PDM Pro) would be an advantage.
2-4 years of progressively increasing experience in project management.
At least 3 years of proven experience in similar positions in international non-governmental organizations
