We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. Our client is an advertising technology company that delivers real-time performance metrics for marketing effectiveness and efficiency.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play an important role in building and maintaining our modern data platform. Your expertise in Snowflake, AWS, Python, real-time data solutions, and software engineering will be crucial in driving our data initiatives forward.

What you bring along:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering disciplines;
• Expertise in Python, SQL;
• Knowledge of at least one orchestration tool (Airflow, Dagster, etc.);
• Experience with Apache Spark;
• Familiarity with Column-oriented SQL data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift;
• Proficiency in AWS suite of data tools (S3, Glue, Lambda etc);
• Substantial experience with a broad range of database systems;
• Strong communications skills with both technical and non-technical team members;
• English — at least an Upper-Intermediate solid.

Nice to have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related discipline (math, engineering etc);
• Knowledge of Distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or Amazon SNS;
• Experience with Databricks, Deltalake.

This is your mission:

• Build and maintain a cutting-edge data platform using technologies such as Snowflake, Python, and AWS services;
• Build and optimize data pipelines, architecture, and data sets supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management;
• Design data storage layer for both data lake and data warehouse;
• Identify opportunities for internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and infrastructure scalability;
• Monitor the health and performance of queries;
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and other stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide data solutions, and effectively communicate insights or findings derived from Data.
