About the customer and the project:
This is a platform for booking rooms for events, photo shoots, video shoots, corporate events and coworking. It's like Airbnb, but for short-term rental of spaces for a few hours or days.
The project was founded in 2014 with headquarters in San Francisco, and also has offices in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. Since then, our client's project has been supported by such investors as Foundation Capital, Structure Capital, Red Bridge Partners and 31VENTURES. More than 2 million people have already used the platform, and the goal is to reach the next 10 million!

About the team:
You will be joining a cross-functional team that values open communication, collaboration, and engineering excellence. We work closely with the client's product development team, so your thoughts and ideas will directly influence product decisions and improve the user experience. We are looking for people who are committed to creating effective user interactions and high engagement. You will use modern design patterns and coding standards while helping to migrate legacy code.We maintain a supportive and transparent environment through:
regular code reviews,
Deploy the code in the production environment
Interacting with the product development team and providing meaningful feedback
Breakdown of tasks in our SCRUM process
Daily stand-ups, weekly developer meetings and bi-weekly retrospectives
Identifying problem areas and improving them - both in the workflow and in the code
Requirements:
2+ years of Clojure experience
5+ years of commercial web application development experience. Experience/knowledge of NodeJS would be a significant advantage
Strong fundamentals of software engineering, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures
Strong knowledge and experience with MongoDB or similar
Understanding the principles of large-scale systems architecture
Experience of working in a flexible Agile development environment
English: at least above intermediate(both written and spoken)
Knowledge or experience with the following would be an advantage:
GCP cloud services
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (eg Docker, Kubernetes)
Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field

Interfacing with the Product team and providing insightful feedback

Technical Requirements:
2+ years of experience with Clojure
5+ years of overall development experience. Node.js knowledge is preferred.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Strong knowledge and experience with MongoDB or similar
Experience working within an Agile development environment
English: Upper intermediate (both spoken and written)
Knowledge or experience with the following will be a plus:
GCP services
containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
