GO "Green-Landia" is a public organization that focuses its activities on improving the quality of life of the population through the promotion of healthy nutrition, conscious consumption, and the development of physical activity. During the war, we consolidated resources in the direction of humanitarian and psychosocial assistance to people living in the territories affected by hostilities, we improve the conditions of temporary stay of evacuated residents in transit and host regions.

Project "Safe gender-sensitive space for women and girls", which is implemented in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of women and girls who are in a crisis situation due to hostilities in Ukraine . The organization provides psychosocial and legal support, humanitarian aid, and conducts events on various topics to improve the well-being of women, girls and other vulnerable segments of the population.

We are looking for a talented and energetic trainer with martial arts or related skills to teach a self defense course for women and girls. We are interested in a person who has the ability to interact with different people, taking into account their individual needs and peculiarities, contributes not only to the development of physical skills, but also to the increase of psychological stability and self-confidence of students, and has the necessary physical training for training. Our mission is to provide effective self-defense skills and increase safety for women and girls.

Basic tasks:

  • Organize and conduct training sessions at designated locations or as part of mobile groups. This includes planning the lesson, preparing the necessary equipment and interacting with the students;
  • Providing structured learning and creating a curriculum aimed at a diverse group of women and girls. Teaching and demonstration of basic self-defense techniques. Development of training plans that cover various aspects of self-defense, including resilience, evasion techniques and the use of objects for protection;
  • Providing theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in self-defense. Explaining the principles of self-defense and personal safety rules. Providing information about specific risks and opportunities in different situations. Determine methods and tools for measuring the effectiveness of the training program and assessing their impact on students;
  • Organize the study of new techniques and methods of self-defense, ensure the implementation of modern approaches and innovations in training;
  • Provide appropriate support and motivetraining students to systematic self-defense classes, organizing the necessary activities to increase the confidence and self-awareness of women;
  • Providing participants with the skills to react in unpredictable situations.

Professional requirements:

  • High school or post-secondary education in physical education, martial arts or similar field is a plus;
  • Self-defense trainer certification or license from of a recognized educational institution or association;
  • Availability of relevant knowledge, techniques and strategies regarding self-defense. Understanding of martial arts styles and their applications;
  • Preference is given to candidates with experience working with different age and physical groups, particularly women and girls;
  • Availability of knowledge and adherence to safety standards during training . Supervise exercise and provide a safe training environment;
  • Positive and professional attitude, including the ability to lead and work well in a team.

Personal qualities:

    < li>Adherence to basic humanitarian principles such as humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence;
  • High communication skills;
  • Interest and aptitude for teamwork;
  • Ability and the ability to maintain confidentiality and respect while working.
