International Solidarity / Solidarites International (SI) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization that for more than 40 years has provided assistance to the population affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters, providing vital needs for food, water and shelter. In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. SI teams are present in approximately twenty countries around the world, with a total of 2,000 people, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent headquarters staff and volunteers, who work with professionalism and commitment, while respecting the culture.

Procurement Specialist:

• ensures that procurement is carried out for programs and divisions on a fixed basis;
• responsible for maintaining, organizing and archiving logistics documentation related to procurement.

Responsibilities include:  

• Knowledge and market monitoring: participation in the analysis of the local procurement environment;
• Implementation of the procurement process: reception and processing of requests; 
procurement;
• Knowledge of languages: knowledge of the English language - intermediate level is mandatory;
• IT: fluency in Microsoft office suite, MS Excel, Office 365;
• Skills: excellent communication skills, flexibility, diplomacy, autonomy.

TERMS JOB:

• Contract:term employment contract for the period of the main employee’s stay on leave to take care of the child until reachingI am three years old (in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine);
• Type of employment: fullemployment (5 days a week);
• Salary: 1240Euro gross for a full working month (Paid in hryvnias, according to the monthly exchange rate Bank of the European Commission for the corresponding month of salary payment);
• Additional: vacation 31 calendar days per year, additional paid vacations according to the legislation of Ukraine, life insurance.

Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of ​​food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures. 

 Solidarites International (SI) is determined to prevent and fight all types of abuse – all acts of exploitation, abuse and/or sexual harassment (SEAH) against members of beneficiary communities or collaborators, fraud, corruption, violation of persons and/or property, funding of activities harmful to human rights – that could be perpetrated in the frame of its interventions.  Purchase Officer:

• Provides procurement for programs and departments at the assigned base;
• maintains, organizes, and archives logistics documentation related to procurement. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Knowledge and monitoring of the market: taking part in the analysis of the local purchasing environment 
• Implementation of purchasing process: Receiving and processing requests 
• Implement purchases while respecting specific procedures of Solidarites International  
• Ensure that products purchased correspond to the requirements in terms of quantity and quality

WHOM  WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Diploma in economic (logistics or supply chain);
• Experience: at least 1 years in procurement;
• Languages: English knowledge – average level mandatory;
• IT: Mastering, MS Excel, 365 Microsoft office package;
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility and diplomacy, autonomous. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Contract: Fixed-term contract for the duration of the primary employee's maternity leave until the child turns three (according to Ukrainian legislation);
• Type of employment: full- time (5 days per week);
• Payment: 1240 EURO gross for a full working month, paid in UAH (according to the monthly exchange rate of the European Commission Bank for the respective month of salary payment);
• Additionally:  paid vacation 31 calendar days per year, additional paid vacation according to Ukrainian legislation, life insurance.
