Role mission

Ensure stable daily work and development of the Center, increase the quality of animal preparation for adoption and expand the influence of the culture of humane treatment of animals in Ukraine.

Who we are looking for

A leader with experience in managing teams and processes, who knows how to build effective internal systems, develop partnerships and increase the recognition of the Center.

We expect strategic thinking, high organization, empathy for animals, emotional stability and focus on measurable results.

Why this role is important right now

This role appeared in response to the stage of growth of the Center and the need to scale business processes.

Main areas Responsibilities:

  • Inmanagement of the activities of the Center
  • Organization of the work of units of care, socialization and adoption of animals. Quality control of care and adoption.

Development and implementation of standards

  • Creation and implementation of internal procedures and policies: care, preparation for adoption, interaction with candidates for adoption.

Budget and resources

  • Planning, control of costs and resource provision of the Center.

Building partnerships and reputational activity

  • Representation of the Center in the media, at events, among partners and donors. Development of long-term relations with partners.

Development of the Center

  • Formation of a 3-year development strategy. Implementation of projects to scale the humanitarian impact of the Centeron society.

Expected results for the first year of operation

  • The standards of care and adoption have been implemented for all animals of the Center.
  • The quality of adoption has increased
  • New strategic partnerships have been signed
  • An autonomous team of care and training has been built
  • The center has stable operational activities with transparent accounting of the budget and expenses

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

Professional competences:

  • Strategic thinking and development of the Center
    • Development and implementation of a strategic development roadmap for 3+ years.
    • Building effective operational and team processes.
  • Effective operational management
    • Organization of the work of the Center: administration, document flow, budgeting.
    • Coordination of the work of contractors, veterinarians and volunteer programs.
  • Building partnerships and representation
    • Development of external partnerships, involvement of donors and support of \communities.
    • Representation of the Center in Media, at events, in a professional environment.
  • Quality management of care and adoption programs
    • Implementation and control of standards of care, socialization, rehabilitation and adoption of animals.
    • Constant improvement of the processes of preparing animals for adaptation.
  • Deep understanding of humanistic principles
    • Awareness of the value of each life beings and standards of humane treatment of animals.
    • Understanding the role of the Center as a space for humane adaptation.

Stages selection:In this role, we use the A-method of recruitment - a structured and fair process that helps to find the best match between tasks, team and person.

The process includes several stages:

  • HR interview - a short online conversation about motivation, expectations and basic fit.
  • Test task - a small a practical task to understand your approach.
  • Who-interview - an in-depth conversation about your real achievements, decision-making style and challenges.
  • Reference-check - with your permission, we will ask the opinion of several people with whom you have worked.
