  • In coordination with the head of projects and programs, ensure a high level of quality of program implementation in cooperation with local partners regarding emergency response, social and legal protection and provision of life support.
  • Ensure their compliance with humanitarian principles and basic humanitarian standards.
  • Ensure regular and proper communication with relevant partners to support the coordination of assigned projects; strengthen relations with partners and make efforts to strengthen their potential, informing the head of projects and programs about any directionsdevelopment or challenges.
  • Ensure the acquisition of relevant knowledge of certain project implementation activities by reviewing and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SoP); provide direct support to partners in the implementation of the SoP and other processes.
  • In coordination with local partners, ensure the development of well-thought-out work plans within the project timelines and related to the relevant project activities in areas such as multi-purpose cash disbursements, winter preparation, aid distribution, provision of psychosocial support and livelihoods.
  • Ensure timely implementation responsibilities for monetary transactions in the Red Rose and deduplication systems.
  • Ensure regular visits to project implementation facilities to provide support to partners on project implementation and program quality control.
  • Identify and report to the project and program manager on risks or challenges associated with project implementation and propose corrective measures.
  • Participate in post-project implementation data analysis and provide suggestions for adaptation of the program.
  • In coordination with the head of projects and programs, collaborate with the partner to identify the most vulnerable communities through interaction with local authorities and coordination platforms and ensure that there is no duplication of assistance.
  • Ensure that all documentation and records related to the registration of beneficiaries are periodically updated, taking into account relevant information about all aid distributions carried out.
  • Work closely with the staff of the monitoring department, evaluation, accounting and professional development (MEAL); monitor all activities, monitor and control daily progress, respond to complaints and suggestions from project participants, and collect information for sharing with other employees. 
  • Represent WHH/JERU in regional clusters and technical working groups in coordination with the Head of Projects and Programs. 
  • Be proactive in accumulating knowledge and understanding issues of integration of protection, security and socio-legal protection in humanitarian emergencies.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the project and program manager to ensure timely and effective program implementation. 
  • Promote safety and environmental awareness and adhere to all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. 
  • Contribute and actively participate in quality improvement processes. 
  • Observe labor discipline, occupational health and safety rules, fire protection requirements, industrial sanitation and occupational hygiene rules, rules and instructions on safety and environmental protection.

Qualification requirements

  • The level of command of the English language in oral and written form is from average to free.
  • Understanding the mechanisms of coordination of humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
  • Experience of working in NGOs and implementing projects together with nationalpartners.
  • Experience in the implementation of projects and emergency response programs.
  • Knowledge of labor discipline, occupational health and safety regulations, fire protection requirements, industrial sanitation and hygiene rules.
  • Knowledge of the MS Office package.
