We provide assistance, protect the rights and contribute to solving the problems of refugees, internally displaced persons and other persons affected by armed conflict. NRC began its activities in Ukraine at the end of 2014, supporting people affected by the conflict in the east of the country. We are now increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries to provide assistance to people forced to flee their homes due to war.

In Ukraine, NRC implements a wide and constantly expanding set of measures to support people affected by conflict and forced displacement. The country office provides support to multiple regional offices and operates in all NRC core areas of competence (CC), including housing and resettlement, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, protection against violence (PfV) and ICLA. NRC programs are largely focused on localization and partner-led implementation, aiming to strengthen the role of national and local actors in the delivery of humanitarian assistance. In this complex and changing context, NRC is expanding its partnership approach to ensure quality, compliance, accountability and sustainable program delivery through partners.
