"Tenth of April" is a public organization that implements the UNHCR program aimed at improving the protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs), the population affected by the conflict, by providing legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, promoting legislative changes, involving communities in responding to emergency situations and finding long-term solutions, in cooperation with authorities and supporting their potential, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.

  • Identification, monitoring and referral of persons with increased vulnerability or with special needs.
  • Providing information and initial counseling communities of IDPs and the affected population regarding the services and activities of UNHCR and partners, as well as facilitating access to complaint and feedback mechanisms.
  • Participation in information activities, educational campaigns and performing the function of PPN/KZG channel (community communication) in the community: regular transfer to partners/UNHCR of collected feedback communication, identified needs and challenges, as well as providing information to the community in response.
  • Assistance in the identification of self-help mechanisms and development of community sustainability.
  • Distribution of informational materials among community residents.
  • Participation in community initiative groups, assistance in the creation of IDP committees, in particular in places of temporary residence and transit centers (if necessary).

 Requirements for the candidate:

  • Higher education in the humanitarian field (at least a bachelor's degree)
  • Experience in public organizations or helping the affected population (preferred)
  • Understanding the basic principles of work with public health and the willingness to improve knowledge in this area
  • Proactiveness, openness and orientation to support people in difficult life circumstances.
  • Active participation in community life, preferably having a local network of contacts that allows you to effectively perform information and engagement functions.
  • Ability to build relationships, awareness of services and providers available in a specific community.
  • Developed interpersonal skills, maturity, empathy and patience in dealing with IDPs and other war-affected individuals.
  • Communication, ability to adapt information to different targets audiences, in particular on sensitive topics.
  • Empathy and the ability to provide emotional support in difficult situations.
