NOC engineer in Ukrayinska Telekomunikaciyna Grupa

We are looking for a personNOC operational engineer to join our team.

Main duties:

• Monitoring and control performance of network equipment, communication channels, basic services and nodes of the supporting network.
• Analysis of the quality of services provided and detection of deviations in work.
• Timely informing about technical works, accidents and other unusual situations.
• Technical support of corporate clients: localization, diagnosis and elimination of problems within the scope of competence.
• Escalation of complex incidents to the next level, control of elimination deadlines.
• Interaction with partners, customers and related departments during emergency situations.
• Maintenance of internal reporting and recording of incidents in the accounting system.

Requirements for the candidate:

• Competent spoken and written Ukrainian language.

• Knowledge of English at the level of reading technical documentation.

• Understanding/experience of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS protocols.

• Experience of working with network equipment and monitoring systems.

• Ability to carry out initial equipment diagnostics and communication channels.

• Linux administration skills.

• Understanding FTTx, xPON, pre-WiMAX technologies.

Additional requirements for remote work:

• Laptop or PC with source uninterrupted power supply (autonomous operation at least 1 hour).

• Quiet room during voice communications.

Will be an advantage:

• CCNA / JNCIA-Junos certificates or higher.

• Experience working with Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks, Huawei, Alcatel equipment.

• Experience configuring or administering monitoring systems (Zabbix, PRTG, Cacti, etc.).

• Experience in a similar position.
