Purpose of the position:
The Multi-Sector Program Manager will be part of the Program Operations team and will lead sector planning, implementation, monitoring/reporting and sustainable transition in line with Save the Children project management methodology. The Program Manager will be responsible for implementing a quality, efficient and effective integrated response in Child Protection (CP), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Education, Non-Food and Shelter (NFI Shelter), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Cash Assistance (CVA) and Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) through close coordination between sectors and departments.

Monitoring, mentoring and supervising field teams and partners in the day-to-day implementation of the project in a conflict-sensitive and needs-based approach.Ensuring the implementation of the multi-sectoral program in communities in a needs-responsive manner, partners and children, in line with SC's principles, values and strategic plan, and in line with SC procedures.Partnership and Localization
- Collaborate with the Partnerships Team to identify appropriate partners to implement the sector response, including conducting capacity assessments and developing capacity-building plans based on identified gaps.
- Working with partners to develop program design and project proposals, ensuring their compliance with the SC strategy and grant design.
- Ensuring regular review of partners' progress on budget and operational plan implementation, as well as supporting partners in adjusting activities/strategies to take into account changes in context or operations
Needs Analysis and Program Development
- Participate in situational/relevance analysis, development of sectoral strategic documents and response plans, and program development, working with partner teams to ensure design feasibility and realism.
- Oversee teams during technical assessments in coordination with technical sector advisors (TAs) and other external sector organizations, ensuring documentation of assessment results and inclusion of a separate analysis of children's needs in all assessments.
- Support technical advisors in the development of project and donor proposals in close coordination with the Supply Chain, Finance and Awards departments, ensuring effective integration at the design stage.
Monitoring, evaluation and accountability
- Contribute to the development and refinement of MEAL tools as needed to effectively track project progress.
- Support the MEAL team in collecting relevant, timely and accurate data against agreed indicators to enable both internal and external reporting.
- Strengthen use of monitoring data (including Quality Benchmarks), share with relevant colleagues and use the results to adjust and improve the program design.
Personnel management, mentoring and development
- Ensure the program team is properly staffed and ensure that all subordinates understand their responsibilities and are able to perform their roles effectively.
- Implement effective performance management of all employees directly reporting through the proper use of the performance management system, including setting clear and measurable goals, providing regular feedback, conducting quarterly reviews and conducting fair and impartial evaluations.
To be to be successful, you must have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a humanitarian or non-profit organization
- Skills and experience in project/program implementation, monitoring, review and evaluation, preferably with a child rights-oriented approach, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and international humanitarian standards
- Significant staff and program management experience, good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
- Grant management experience including budgeting and reporting to donors
- In-depth understanding or proven experience in security management issues
- Ability to produce high-quality reports in English
- Representational and advocacy skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision by the immediate supervisor
- Experience of cooperation with partners and workparticipatory approach
- Fluency in written and spoken English, confident computer use
- Commitment to the goals and principles of Save the Children, including a good understanding of the organization's mandate and focus on children and the ability to ensure that this continues to be the basis of our support
