BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons affected by war, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Foundation has been monitoring the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The position will operate within the project "Complex protection services for the affected civilian population, and strengthening resilience for those working on the first line of response”, which focuses on mechanisms for the protection of the conflict-affected population and IDPs in the target regions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains monitoring tools in accordance with the needs of the Fund;
  • Monitors compliance with requirements for monitoring and evaluation of partners of the Fund;
  • Works with project documentation and project coordination in terms of monitoring and evaluation, interacts with donor representatives on monitoring and evaluation issues;
  • Ensures proper collection of secondary data, their tracking and management;
  • Provides quantitative data analytics and reporting according to project requirements;
  • Contributes to increasing the efficiency of the monitoring and evaluation unit, providing management and supervision of by teams of data collectors on the ground if necessary;
  • Complements project reporting in accordance with the guidelines of the Fund and the requirements of donors in the agreed terms; 
  • In cooperation with the coordinators of the monitoring and evaluation department and the development and fundraising department, complements project proposals/budgets by providing basic information for analyzing the situation, basic indicators and establishing relevant indicators of processes and results;
  • Helps in building organizational capacity to improve monitoring and evaluation standards and policies; 
  • Promotes and informs colleagues about best practices;
  • Develops, tests and manages data collection (KoboToolBox, Google Forms, etc.);
  • Understands and adheres to the Code of Conduct, etc.other policies of the Fund.

Reporting and accountability

  • Follow all relevant R2P policies and procedures, including the code of conduct and accountability policy to affected populations.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education in sociology, social sciences, law, management, research or other relevant field; 
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation;
  • Experience in humanitarian and development programs is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of data collection software and tools will be an advantage;
  • Experienced Excel user;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently on agreed assignments;
  • Compliance terms, attention to details;
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English.
