Job Summary
The Ministry Program Training Specialist supports the ministry program in developing, coordinating and conducting trainings based on Christian values that strengthen spiritual and emotional stability among people and communities affected by the war in Ukraine. This includes implementing biblical and spiritual trauma first aid training for volunteers, ministry leaders, pastors, counselors and other local partners, as well as humanitarian aid workers.
The program aims to equip local churches and their communities with practical and spiritual tools to provide care, comfort and hope in times of crisis. Special attention will be given to initiatives aimed at supporting women, veterans and church leaders/coaches.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a mature Christian faith and a desire to integrate biblical principles into compassionate outreach and service to the community. Extensive experience in teaching, moderating or delivering training and the ability to effectively communicate and adapt materials for diverse audiences is also required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the coordinator, manager and ministry implementation partners in the development of training content and training delivery for diverse audiences.
- Conduct training sessions in an interactive, engaging, and biblically based format.
- Undertake course certification required to teach implementing partner training programs.
- Create and adapt interactive training programs and digital presentations in collaboration with the program team and implementing partners using existing resources, research and understanding of the context.
- Select and adapt training content and delivery methods according to the target audience.
- Coordinate with implementation partner contact persons on the development, planning and delivery of training.
- Support the team and program coordinator in the organization of training events and logistics as needed.
- Collect and analyze participant feedback and lessons learned to improve future trainings.
- Travel approximately two weeks per month to different regions of Ukraine,including conflict-affected areas to conduct trainings with implementing partners.
- Assist the Program Coordinator and Manager in developing new service-oriented resources and training for the JV office, programs and partners.
- Provide interpretation and translation between English and Ukrainian as needed for training materials, discussions or documentation.
- Execute any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Coordinator or Program Manager to support the objectives of the program.

Essential education and experience
Required:
- Proven experience in adult education, training or facilitation (preferably in a religious or humanitarian context).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to teach and interact with members of diverse faiths and cultures.
- Training in spiritual first aid or similar faith-based trauma healing programs.
- Practical experience in church ministry, chaplaincy, counseling, or adult education.
- Above average computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint)
Desired:
- In-depth knowledge of biblical principles and their practical application in trauma care and community service.
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, theology, social work, Christian counseling, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience translation.
Language
- Fluency in English B2 or higher - mandatory
- Ukrainian - mandatory
Analytical Skills
Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of specific variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or graphic form.

8:30am-5:00pm, MON-FRI
