PZPSP manager, under the supervision of the PZPSP manager, is responsible for the direct implementation of measures to build the capacity of local representatives of communities and interventions on HCVS in accordance with national and global guidelines, including the guidelines of the Interagency Standing Committee on HCVS. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Work closely with the PPE Technical Specialist and the Head of PZPSP to ensure the quality of program results.
- Develop and implement capacity building activities for International Medical Corps teams and partners, relevant local (including public and government) actors; working with the International Medical Corps program department ensures timely achievement of all relevant project deliverables and achievement of set goals.
- Provide mentoring and oversight of capacity building activities; providing assistance to technical specialists with appropriate support in improving the qualifications of mobile teams of the International Medical Corps.
- Supporting the coordination of program activities with other projects, programs and priorities of the International Medical Corps; coordinate with relevant BHA donor-funded partners, local and international organizations located in the region.
- Coordinate with other program sectors (health, combat and combating gender-based violence, water supply, sanitation and hygiene, nutrition).
- Provide technical supervisory support to psychologists and social workers of the International Medical Corps as necessary.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Dogspsychological interventions and case management
- Provide individualized psychological interventions, including short-term counseling to help beneficiaries cope with difficulties.
- Implementation of structured psychological interventions in accordance with evidence-based practice, the Interdepartmental Standing Committee (IPC) on PZPSP and other international guidelines.
- Providing recommendations and support to psychologists and social workers who handle cases with PZPSP.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of information materials and messages on psychosocial well-being (eg coping with stress and helping others).
- Coordinating (with psychologists and social workers) and monitoring ECEC activities for parents/guardians and the elderly in safe, community-based settings.
- Disseminate information about psychological well-being, including stress management, positive coping and self-help in target communities.
Coordination and reinforcement
- Work in coordination with the PZPSP and other International Medical Corps program teams, communities and identified public actors to ensure compliance of activities with IPC standards and their safe and sustainable implementation.
- Conducting/participating in an assessment of the needs of HCW in accordance with IPC (2013) and the WHO/UNHCR Guidelines (2012) on assessment of needs of HCV.
- Oversight and support in strengthening regional linkages and referral mechanisms for receiving services from PZPSP in coordination with the Ukrainian Technical Working Group on PZPSP issues.
- In close cooperation with the PZPSP specialist, the manager and the program group of the International Medical Corps, lead the information and educational work, coordination, development and monitoring of the process of the behavior change campaign aimed at the formation of positive stress coping skills and emotional well-being in communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- In consultation with the specialist and head of PPE issues, provide support in the development of informational and educational materials on psychological well-being, including stress management, positive coping, self-help and self-harm prevention in target communities.
- Support in information and educational work, coordination and capacity building of relevant service providers, including coordinators at the community level on relevant topics under the leadership of the Technical Working Group on PZPSP issues in Ukraine.
- With the approval of the Program Manager of the PZPSP program, collaborate with the PZPSP specialist to identify regional PZPSP coordination and service delivery gaps.
- Contribute to the work of the meetings of the Technical Working Group on PZPSP, if necessary and according to the decision of the head of PZPSP.
Capacity building, mentoring and training
- Lead the process of developing tools for assessing the potential of PZPSP for local and regional authorities, local/national public organizations and relevant departments of international humanitarian NGOs.
- In consultation with the technical lead for HCSP, develop and implement HCSP capacity building action plans aimed at developing critical skills and abilities in psychosocial support and emotional/psychological well-being.
- Supporting the PES technical specialist in delivering PES workshops/trainings for selected service providers such as local and regional authorities, staff of the International Medical Corps and partners, national and international NGOs and others working with vulnerable populations, including providing group support and communication approaches to children and adults.
- Support training, referral and support to designated service providers, International Medical Corps staff and psychosocial care partners, as well as psychosocial group training partners for children, adolescents, parents/guardians who work with vulnerable population groups; support in training, management and adolescents, parents/guardians and the elderly.
- Develop capacity building plans for the International Medical Corps PHP team in consultation with the PHP technical specialist and lead/co-lead the implementation of identified training needs to support their capacity development for work in the field of PPE in accordance with international recommendations and best practices.
- Provide technical mentoring and supervision to psychologists and social workers, and develop their capacity to work in the field of EDPS in accordance with international recommendations and best practices.
- Participate in the selection process of new psychologists/social workers.
- Evaluate the work of psychologists and social workers ( if necessary).
Grant Management - Work closely and coordinate with Operations, Finance to ensure grant compliance and financial and logistical controls in accordance with International Medical Corps protocols.
- Ensuring high quality reports of International Medical Corps and donors on activities, indicators and achievements.
- Support the managerwith PZPSP in the development of new projects for further financing that meet the identified needs.
- In collaboration with the Head of PZPSP, manage the program budget, develop and maintain work, expenditure, procurement and monitoring and evaluation plans to ensure that the program is delivered on schedule and on budget, as well as achieving program goals and objectives.
Reporting - Assisting in the preparation of regular reports, including participation in the writing of success stories, review and analysis of the implementation of the curriculum on PES and other psychological interventions within the programs on PES in Ukraine.
- Supporting beneficiary tracking using agreed monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Regular documentation of outreach activities using agreed tools to highlight key protection, safety and socio-emotional issues affecting children, young families, adults and elderly people.
- Participate in regular reporting and planning meetings to ensure standards of care and reporting are met.

Minimum requirements - Higher psychological education.
- Confirmed work experience in the field of psychology or in the field of PZPSP.
- Experience of individual and group work with children, youth and adults.
- Experience in identifying vulnerable populations or individuals in need of additional support.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect to customers at any time is mandatory.
- Positive and professional attitude, ability to organize, maintain composure and prioritize when working under pressure, work overtime when necessary, ability to coordinate multiple tasks and attention to detail .
- The desire to work in a team and prioritize the development of the potential of other team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and manage people in a team.
- Diplomacy, the ability to establish communication bonds and build good working relationships.
- Experience in facilitating trainings, seminars and other events for the exchange of knowledge and skills related to psychology, psychotherapy and PZPSP.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skillscommunications in English.
- Experience of working in an NGO or an NGO.
Would be an advantage - Experience working with IDPs and/or conflict-affected populations.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation principles. Experience in writing short descriptive reports.
- Knowledge of the specifics of the Technical Working Group on PZPSP issues.
