Background

Neo-Eco Ukraine LLC, established in May 2022, is a circular consultancy firm affiliated with Neo-Eco France. With offices in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Madrid, and Lille (France), our team of ten experts specializes in industrial engineering solutions for waste recycling. We advise on circular economy strategies, eco-design, and waste recovery channels, aiming to give used materials new life and contribute to a world without waste. 

Our services include corporate social responsibility (CSR) consulting, territorial and industrial engineering, and the development of eco-products from recycled waste. We also have extensive experience in infrastructure projects, urban renewal plans, and the recovery of dredged sediments from port environments, offering solutions to effectively manage construction waste across a multitude of environments. 

Amidst Ukraine's ongoing challenges, we're dedicated to sharing circular economy practices to recycle war rubble and construction waste, mitigating environmental impacts, and fostering community development. Role Purpose:

You will participate in various research projects, particularly those focused on reducing the carbon impact of cements, concretes and other eco materials, in collaboration with the R&D team. In this context, you will be responsible for preparing materials and conducting tests to evaluate the performance of technologies under development in Kryvyi Rih. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct material characterization tests following laboratory standards and procedures, respecting operational modes and deadlines.
  • Participate in developing new testing procedures and analysing new experimental techniques that may eventually be integrated into the laboratory.
  • Analyse and interpret results in collaboration with an engineer if necessary.
  • Draft test reports.
  • Develop knowledge of products and processes related to your scope.
  • Participate in the collective life of the laboratory and transversal tasks.

Selection Criteria:

We are looking for a motivated, organized, dynamic, and involved individual with a strong capacity for initiative:

  • Knowledge of cementitious material characterization tests.
  • Proficiency in testing on fresh and hardened mortar and concrete.
  • Knowledge of the physicochemical principles of hydraulic binder reactivity is an additional asset.
  • Understanding of good laboratory quality practices.
  • Proficiency with computer tools for reporting (Office Suite).

Education & Experience

  • All profiles will be considered, however, a technical background in Materials Science or Civil Engineering would be a distinct advantage. Ideally, you have at least three years of experience in the cement and/or concrete sector in a laboratory or production setting.

You will display:

  • Strong English and Ukrainian communication skills (written and verbal). Ukrainian and English language skills are required. Please note that English is the working language at Neo-Eco Ukraine.
  • Ability to work independently, highly organised, and proactive.
  • Able to thrive on a variety of tasks; flexible and easy-going.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, strong logical analysis skills and a constructive attitude.

Other requirements: 

  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in Ukraine.
  • Candidates must have a clean driver’s licence (Ukraine)
