About the organization
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is the leading UN development agency working in approximately 170 countries and territories, helping overcome poverty, reduce inequality and strengthen the resilience of societies.
In Ukraine, UNDP supports the government, civil society and communities in the implementation of reforms and recovery, working in three key areas:
democratic governance and inclusive social fabric;

sustainable development environment and energy transformation.
The position of Market Research and Supplier Engagement Clerk is part of the Area-Based Recovery Projects within the R4 Framework (Recovery, Rebuild, Reform, Resilience) and is aimed at strengthening transparent, competitive and efficient procurement of UNDP in Ukraine.
Main duties
Subordinating to the Procurement Specialist, a clerk with market research and working with suppliers will be responsible for:
Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, analyzing market conditions and trends for planned tenders; preparation of meaningful reports with conclusions.
Tracking the participation of suppliers in tenders (participation/refusal), collecting and recording the reasons for non-participation, forming a database of observations and trends.
Supporting suppliers in registering in the Quantum system (UNDP online procurement platform), checking the correctness of entered data and compliance with requirements.
Development and maintaining an up-to-date supplier base structured by categories of goods, works and services.
Initiating Requests for Information (RFIs) through Quantum and preparing analytical reports based on the responses received.
Collection of information on prices, market benchmarks and benchmarks, particularly for construction works and related services, to support the tender evaluation process proposals.
Provide analytical recommendations to strengthen UNDP procurement strategies and improve engagement with suppliers.
Prepare short analytical notes and summaries for the procurement team and management.
Participate in UNV tasks related to the promotion of volunteerism (participation in UNV initiatives, preparation of experience briefs, support of new UN Volunteers, etc.).
Candidate Requirements
Education:
Secondary education (complete general secondary) is required.
Bachelor's degree in procurement, logistics, management, economics, law, business administration, public administration, engineering or related fields will be an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.
Professional experience:
Schonymen3 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in the areas of: procurement, logistics, supply chain management, market research, working with suppliers, administration, contracting or related fields.
Desirable experience of working with suppliers, participating in tender processes or supporting procurement units.
Knowledge of the basic principles of public procurement will be an added advantage.
Technical skills:
Proficient in computer and MS Office (Word, Excel).
Advanced skills in working with spreadsheets (filters, sorting, simple formulas, basic analytics) and databases.
Experience with web or cloud systems management (online platforms, offices, databases).
Willingness to quickly master the Quantum system (UNDP procurement platform).
Languages:
Ukrainian — fluency.
English — fluency (oral and written); sufficient level to work with tender documentation, instructions and templates in English.
Conditions
This is national volunteering in the UN system (National UN Volunteer Specialist) with full employment.
Work format: remote work from the territory of Ukraine, with administrative attachment to the UNDP office Kyiv.
Contract duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension (not guaranteed; depends on funding, project needs and work results).
Financial compensation:
Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): USD 1,587 per month (equivalent in hryvnia) to cover housing costs, utilities and daily expenses. The amount includes Well-Being Differentials for Ukraine (hardship “E”).
One-time payment at the start: USD 400 (entry lump sum).
Social package:
Medical insurance for UN Volunteer and eligible dependents for the duration of the contract.
Life insurance for the duration of performance appointment.
Vacations:
Annual leave: 2.5 days for each full month of the contract (up to 30 days can be transferred if the same appointment is extended).
Study leave: up to 10 working days per 12 months (upon agreement with the supervisor and taking into account the needs of the service).
Hospital: up to 30 days of certified sick leave + 7 days without a certificate per calendar year (according to UNV policy).
Housing and workplace (home office) are organized by the UN Volunteer independently.
Volunteering in the UN system is an activity for the benefit of society, where financial compensation is not the main motivation, but a decent level of support and social guarantees is provided.
