Veteran Hab
For more than six years, Veteran Hub has been working to support soldiers and their loved ones. We are currently looking for a manager of support for veterans and their loved ones.
The person in this position will be the primary liaison between customers and all network service providers and partner organizations. She or he will coordinate clients within the organization, provide support, refer to other consultants and accompany them on the way to improve their well-being.A support manager is a person who:
is interested in the field of veteran services and is oriented in it;
has organizational skills;
has analytical skills, knows how to structure information, solve problematic issues and is attentive to details;
has a high level of responsibility, self-organization and time management.
What is needed do:
advise customers about Veteran Hub service menu options;
conduct identification, analysis and prioritization of customer needs;
develop and maintain a support plan;
refer to internal and external specialists;
advise about the organization's services (searching for health and recreation opportunities, material needs, housing programs and other veteran programs and initiatives, creating and using the organization's Knowledge Base);
monitor the quality of services and receive feedback;
work in close cooperation with lawyers, psychologists, consultants and coordinators;
administer the client's referral process for mental health services and support them in the process of receiving them;
observe ethical norms and principles of interaction with clients.
Qualification requirements
Be interested in the field of veteran services and navigate in it
Education in the fields of social work, sociology, pedagogy, psychology or other related specialties is desirable
Experience as a social worker, case manager with a target audience of 2 years or more in the public, state or corporate sectors is desirable
Be able to provide psychological first aid to clients and, if necessary, involve psychologists to provide crisiscounseling
Has high ethical standards, Ukrainian language (oral and written), basic crisis support skills
Required: no ties to Russia since 2014.
