Purpose of the position: The leading community engagement specialist in the city of Dnipro plays a key role in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and projects aimed at improving living conditions and well-being in the community. This work requires a deep understanding of the social, economic and cultural aspects of community life, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. It is important to have project management skills, to be able to communicate effectively and work with different groups of people. The fulfillment of the tasks will require flexibility, creativity and a high level of commitment to the interests of the community.
Main duties:
1. Community Needs Analysis
- Examining community needs, problems, and opportunities through data collection and analysis, surveys, interviews, and public meetings.
- Assessing community needs by conducting focus group studies, surveys, interviews, etc.
2. Planning and development of programs
- Making proposals for Development of strategies and programs aimed at solving identified problems (for example, social integration, education, health care)
3. Attractcommunity engagement and partnership
- Establishing partnerships with local organizations, businesses, government agencies and other stakeholders to support and implement development programs.
- Organizing meetings and events.
4. Project Management
- Coordination and management of projects, including planning, budgeting, performance monitoring and performance evaluation.
5. Securing funding
- Searching for opportunities to finance projects through grants, donor programs, sponsorships and other sources.
- Preparing and submitting grant applications, reports and other documentation to secure project funding.
6. Communication and advocacy
- Development and implementation of communication strategies to inform the public about development programs and their results.
- Representing the interests of beneficiaries and their groups, organizations to government and non-profit organizations to advocate for policies and initiatives that promote community development.
7. Evaluation and monitoring
- Regular monitoring and evaluation of the impact of programs and projects on the community to determine their effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Additional duties:
- Business trips around Ukraine;
- Participation in work meetings, meetings according to requests;
- Participation in strategic measures for the development of the center;
- Introduction of document databases (common storage, Bravo-library, etc.);
- Execution of management assignments
- Participation in national and regional events for the development and standardization of social services, development of organizations and volunteering;
- Participation in the annual planning of the center's activities;
- Participation in the analysis of the center's annual plan once a quarter;
- Monthly planning of tasks and evaluation of the previous month's tasks.
General duties:
- Conduct active work to achieve the goals of the Red Cross Movement.
- Comply with the principles of the Red Cross movement.
- Perform any other work-related tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements to candidate:
- Full higher education (sociology, social work, psychology, pedagogy or other relatedtraining courses).
- Professional development courses / trainings / internship programs in the field of sociology, social work, social services, counseling, facilitation will be an advantage.
- Work experience from 1 year.
- Experience of volunteering or work in the humanitarian, social sphere.
- Work experience in the field of public development from 1 year.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, databases, e-mail).
- Developed communication skills, experience communicating with different categories of people, tact and diplomacy.
- Developed organizational and executive skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, quick adaptation.
- Fluent command of the Ukrainian language.
- Intermediate English is preferred.
