Purpose of the position: Leading specialist in international humanitarian initiatives and partnerships is responsible for coordination, development and support of international humanitarian initiatives and activities with partners of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCSU). Its role is to ensure effective interaction with international partners, donors and participants of the Red Cross Movement, as well as with local authorities; to contribute to the planning and implementation of humanitarian initiatives; as well as support and coordination of partnerships and projects in accordance with the strategic goals of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and in accordance with international humanitarian standards.

Main duties:

• support in the development and implementation of international humanitarian strategies of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.
• support in the implementation of international humanitarian initiatives, including expert assistance and bilateral cooperation with partner national ones. societies, international and domestic humanitarian organizations.
• analysis of humanitarian contexts in potential program participating countries and preparation of analytical materials.
• participation in strategic consultations and planning of current and future international humanitarian programs.
• development of short-term and long-term partnership plans with key stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities:

• Other tasks determined by the immediate supervisor.

General responsibilities:

• Actively work to achieve the goals of the TCHU.
• Adhere to the principles of the Red Cross movement and work in accordance with them.
• Perform any other work-related tasks and duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor manager.

Candidate requirements:

• Higher education in the field of international relations.
• Experience of at least 3 years in the humanitarian field with NGOs, the Red Cross or the UN and/or work experience in public authorities (administration, protocol).
• High level of analytical and organizational skills.
• Collection and management skills data.
• Confident command of a computer andsoftware.
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian languages (oral and written).
• Knowledge of other foreign languages will be an advantage.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and establish cooperation.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Skills to build effective relationships with the National Society and stakeholders.
• Creativity and innovation (will be an advantage).

The role ensures effective engagement with international partners, donors, and Movement actors as well as local government institutions; contributes to the planning, implementation, and reporting of humanitarian initiatives; and supports the alignment of partnerships and projects with URCS strategic objectives and international humanitarian standards.

Essential Tasks:

 Candidate Requirements:

• University degree in international relations.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the humanitarian field with NGOs, the RC, or the UN, and/or experience working in government (administration, protocol).
