The Danish Refugee Council (DRC)is a leading international humanitarian organization whose main goal is to protect, support and promote long-term solutions for displaced populations.

The DRC has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, DRB has more than 800 employees working on the territory of Ukraine to implement emergency response in the sectors of social and legal protection, livelihoods, housing reconstruction and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), providing direct support to responsible individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as well as their partners. DRB will continue to develop long-term solutions, adapting them to the changing situation.

DRB is currently looking for a highly qualified Junior Specialistprojects frommine prevention activities to join the team in Kyiv.

Your main duties in the position will be:

Support for the humanitarian demining program

  • Support the leading specialist in coordination and interaction with authorities on mine action in the organization of external quality control of demined territories, team support of humanitarian demining in the preparation of reporting documentation for the Center for mine action.
  • Support the leading specialist in coordination and interaction with authorities on mine action in maintaining documentation and performing other administrative tasks related to the renewal/expansion of certification processes.
  • Under the technical supervision of the leading specialist in coordination and interaction with authorities on mine action prepare draft letters in Ukrainian, in Russian or English on behalf of the head of the humanitarian demining program and submit all official communications.
  • Perform any other tasks within the framework of supporting the humanitarian demining program, if necessary, under the technical supervision of the leading specialist in coordination and interaction with authorities in mine action.
  • Ensure maintenance of an internal register (accounting) of training and professional development of personnel in the humanitarian demining sector.
  • Ensure maintenance and preservation of the internal archive of documentation of the humanitarian demining sector.
  • Provide oral and written translation from English to Ukrainian and from Ukrainian to English during internal meetings, meetings and work events, as well as record key decisions, keep minutes and prepare relevant records based on the results of meetings.

Logistics support of the team GRM 

  • Perform logistical support and travel arrangements for GRM employees, including preparation and submission of forms for movement within Ukraine (TRF) and order (OR), in close cooperation with financial staff and supply department of GRM.

About you:

To be successfulin this role, we expect you to have at least 2 years of practical administrative/logistical experience, as well as humanitarian demining experience. In addition, we also expect the following from you:

Required

  • University degree in project management, business administration or similar professional qualification.
  • C1 level of English.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with IMSMA Core,ArcGIS.

We offer:

  • Contract: temporary contract after successfully completing a 3-month trial period.
  • Position level: And non-managerial.
  • Place of work: Kyiv.
  • Date start:December 2025.

Salaries and conditions in accordance with the Terms of Employment of national staff of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine.
