Currently, SCI is expanding its activities to eight cities in Ukraine, and Mykolaiv is one of them.  We work in the areas of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care, and also carry out advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The HR assistant will provide administrative and technical support in various areas of HR - recruiting, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, employee welfare, HRIS (human resource management systems) and employment record keeping. SCI is a "dual mandate" organization, so both humanitarian and development activities are given equal priority. SCI strives to ensure children's basic rights such as survival, safety, continued access to protection and education. As part of its commitment to working with children through humanitarian interventions, SCI supports programs in both sudden crises and chronic emergencies. From time to time, given the context of Ukraine, the Staff Assistant will be expected to perform duties outside of the standard role to reflect the increased workload required to respond to emergency situations and to modify work schedules accordingly.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Ensures compliance of HR documentation with labor legislation, protection of personal data, etc.
  • Performs recruitment, transfer, transfer and dismissal of employees in accordance with labor legislation, regulations, instructions and orders of the director of the organization.
  • Maintains personal cards of employees (standard form No. P-2) with limited access to them in accordance with the requirements of legislation in the field of personal data protection.

  • Participates in the work of the company's social insurance commission as a member of the commission - the employer's representative.

  • Indicates insurance history in disability certificates for the provision of temporary disability benefits.
  • Prepares draft orders on incentives and imposing disciplinary sanctions on employees.
  • Registers special categories of employees (minors; the disabled; Chernobyl victims; labor veterans; employees on part-time or individual schedules; employees working under fixed-term employment contracts, etc.).
  • Keeps records of employees' work books, ensures their storage in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of personal data.
  • Enters work records in work books employees.
  • Keeps records of employee leavekam, compiles a vacation schedule and monitors its observance.
  • Determines insurance length of service for temporary disability, pregnancy and childbirth benefits on the basis of work books, other documents and data contained in the system of personalized accounting of information about insured persons of the State Register of Mandatory State Social Insurance.
  • Responsible for maintaining employee documentation in accordance with SCI recommendations - from hiring to termination of employment, and during compliance audits closely cooperates with the HR coordinator and administration to provide the necessary documents for checks.
  • Uses all existing policies, practices, checklists and guidelines (HR Minimum Standards, HR Emergency Toolkit) and ensures compliance with Save the Children best practices.

FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE:

  • Contributes to the protection of children's rights by promoting their well-being and protection in emergencies, guided by humanitarian principles and a code of conduct.
  • During emergencies, act to facilitate SCI's emergency response process by prioritizing all financial, logistical, program and service activities.
  • Be prepared to support SCI's emergency response interventions and be able to move around the country.

CHILD PROTECTION:

  • Ensures that program staff provide all beneficiaries with up-to-date and appropriate age verbal or written information in appropriate languages ​​about the Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Ensures the safety of events for children and that all steps to ensure their meaningful and safe participation have been taken.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
< p>DEDUCATION: 

Required:

  • 1 year of work experience in the management of personnel issues is desirable.
  • Proven experience of operational work in HR - experience in providing various HR support services managers and employees.
  • Experience providing administrative and technical support in various areas of HR.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Understanding of staff care for humanitarian personnel, including approaches to well-being, stress, rest and recovery (R&R) and debriefing.
  • High facilitation skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills in English and Ukrainian languages ​​with experience in managing multicultural teams.
