Head of the social and political editorial office — LIGA.net in Ligamedia

LIGA.net - independent business media of Ukraine. We are looking for a leader who will lead the socio-political editorial office and be responsible for the implementation of editorial strategy, content quality and team development.

Your key tasks:

• Participation in the formation and implementation of the socio-political strategy
• Determination of topics, priorities and angles of submission of materials
• Management of a team of journalists and editors
• Quality control of news, analytics and special projects
• Approving final editorial decisions
• Ensuring compliance with standards journalism, balance of opinions and fact-checking
• Coordination with other editorial offices and divisions
• Hiring, development and evaluation of correspondents and editors
• Direct budget planning (FOP, freelancers' fees)

Our expectations:

Experience:

• From 5 years in socio-political journalism
• From 3 years in a managerial position in the editorial office or direction
• Mandatory work experience in online media

Professional knowledge:

• Deep understanding of political processes in Ukraine
• Orientation in the international political context
• Practical knowledge of the standards of news and analytical journalism
• Experience of working with sources of various levels

Technical skills:

• Working with analytical tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
• Understanding the basics of SEO and SMM for the media
• Content planning and working with large news media by stream
• Fact-checking and source control
