Newly established vegetable growing production is looking for a manager.
Purpose of the position
To provide full operational management of the processes of growing vegetable crops: crop planning, control of technologies, management of personnel, equipment and resources. Ensuring a high-quality and stable harvest in accordance with the company's planned indicators.
Requirements for the candidate
Education (profile/specialty): Higher education (economics, marketing, agrarian business or management);
Work experience (minimum years, field): Experience in operational management of the farm/production site — from 3-5 years.
Experience in the field of growing vegetables will be an advantage.
Desired additional skills:
In-depth knowledge of open ground vegetable growing technologies.
Understanding of agrochemistry, nutrition, plant protection, irrigation and fertigation systems.
Experience working with machinery (tractors, aggregates, equipment).
Skills in forming and managing teams of seasonal and permanent employees.
Ability to plan budgets, create work schedules, control costs.
Analytical skills: accounting for yields, costs, efficiency of technologies.
Ability to work with agronomic IT systems (GPS, field maps, agromonitoring).
Result orientation, proactivity, responsibility.
Functional (main responsibilities)
Operational management of cultivation
- Planning of sown areas and the structure of crops.
- Development of technological maps of cultivation — from soil preparation to harvesting.
- Control of field work: sowing, watering, fertilizing, processing of organic matter.
- Organization of collection harvest, product quality control.
Personnel management
- Selection of permanent and seasonal employees.
- Formation of teams for field work.
- Organization and control of division of duties.
- Training of employees on technologies and safety techniques.
Management of equipment and resources
- Selection, ordering and control of use machinery and equipment.
- Formation of the need for agricultural machinery, fertilizers, seeds.
- Control of the timeliness of repair and maintenance of equipment.
Analytics and reporting
- Control of costs per hectare, accounting of resources, analysis of the cost of crops.
- Keeping documentation on technological operations.
- Formation of reports for management: forecast yields, implementation of plans, problem areas.
Interaction with other units
- Cooperation with logistics, commercial and financial departments.
- Participation in sales planning, determination of collection dates and volumes of deliveries.
- Participation in the implementation of new hybrids, technologies, irrigation systems.
