Cossack Labs is a British cyber security company with R&D centers in Ukraine. We comprehensively solve security problems in complex, risk-sensitive systems: we engage in R&D, provide services, create tools for developers and custom solutions that close real risks in critical scenarios.
The Infrastructure & Hardware team is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to help strengthen our strong and talented team.
We work with mission?critical projects and find solutions for problems that no one has solved before. If you like difficult challenges, it is interesting to explore the unknown and you are ready to work carefully and responsibly - we will be glad to see you in the team. In this role, you will be involved in creating safe products with high stakes and real social impact. We often deal with atypical tasks, so there is a lot of room for creativity at the R&D stage.
What we expect:
Basic knowledge of electronics, in particular the design of digital circuits based on microcontrollers
Good understanding of the modern component base and approaches to its use
Experience in electronic prototyping devices
Experience in debugging circuits using special equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)
Working with EDA tools for designing electronics (KiCAD, Altium, Eagle, etc.) and preparing production documentation
Technical English at the level of reading and writing documentation
Strong communication skills - if you can clearly express your thoughts formulate, solutions can be implemented faster
Ability to work in a team and effectively interact with other specialists
Will be a plus:
Basic skills of working with mechanical CAD systems (Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OpenSCAD, FreeCAD)
Ability to solder small components (for example, LQFP with a step of 0.5 mm)
Firmware debugging experience using in-circuit debuggers, programmers or logs
Practical experience in reverse engineering
Programming skills
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Linux experience
Basic understanding cyber security and/or cryptography
What will you do:
Development of electrical circuits
PCB design
Prototyping and soldering of experimental samples
Creation of test benches and additional equipment for research and testing
Participation in reverse engineering within security assessments
Preparation of technical documentation (Gerber, BOM, assembly drawings)
Working together with a team of experienced engineers on all of the above
