General QA (JS) in Evolvice GmbH

Headquartered in the heart of the automobile industry, Stuttgart (Germany), our expertise stretches from automotive, healthcare, travel, financial, governmental, and insurance to manufacturing industries. 
 
Our team is over 50 people including web (C#/.NET, Java, JS) & mobile (iOS/Android/Ionic) developers together with business analysts, project managers, QA and support staff. Our corporate culture is characterized by agile processes, autonomous teams without hierarchies, as well as openness and transparency – both internally and with our clients.  

Currently, we are searching for a proactive General QA Engineer to join our team. 

Project is a German multinational perfumery and cosmetics chain. In 2022 the marketplace was present in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the Netherlands. 
 
Your future responsibilities: 

• You will oversee overall quality standards and increase automated test case coverage. 
• You will support the implementation of automated test cases by other engineers and perform manual testing when needed. This mean that focus here should be not only on automation but on establishing overall QA processes. 
• We would like to have QA engineer who has QA process knowledge as well as automation skills. Because the QA is not only driving the QA process & Quality Gate but also, he/she should have the knowledge to support team when comes to automation topics (analyse test report, understand issues, collaborate with the team or QOPS etc).  

Requirements: 

• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer for large, customer-facing software applications, preferably eCommerce. 
• You should have QA process knowledge as well as automation skills.  
•  You should know and understand the following automation concepts: UI Testing, API Testing, Appium Testing, and Load Testing.  
• Experience in testing and understanding the architecture and technology of web applications, backends and microservices.  
• A firm understanding and practical experience in tools and processes to ensure software quality during all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, ideally including CI/CD and DevOps.   
• Solid experience in working with Agile Product Development processes.  
• Good understanding of processes and use cases of transactional businesses like eCommerce. 
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams in an international environment.   
• Strong communication skills and very good English skills (spoken/written). 
• A mindset focused on delivery and on continuous improvement.  
• ISTQB Certification or similar is a plus.
