We are currently increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries to provide assistance to people forced to leave their homes due to war.

We are looking for a Field Office Coordinator for the NRC Northern Regional Office in Shostka.   

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage support staff at the field office level
  • Supervise the day-to-day tasks of the field office (personnel and administration, finance, logistics)
  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, manuals, procedures, and standard operating procedures/guidelines
  • Coordinate and assist with budgets and expenditures for shared expenses and field office support functions
  • Provide training support and staff development
  • Provide the necessary support in the implementation of projects at the field office level
  • Coordinate and participate in representative meetings with the UN, partners and especially local authorities on behalf of the AM
  • Ensure compliance with NRC safety, security and security standards and procedures health.
  • Under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager (AM) and under the technical guidance of the Regional Support Manager (ASM), oversee the expansion of the NRC Regional Office in Shostka.
  • Under the direct supervision of the AM and with the support of the APM, oversee the operational expansion of the NRC Regional Office in Shostka
  • In close collaboration with ASM and support function coordinators in Kyiv, ensure proper and timely implementation of NRC rules and regulations in the areas of finance, logistics and personnel management at the NRC regional office in Shostka
  • Promote effective integration between support departments and regular coordination between support and program teams in the field office
  • drive effective integration and collaboration between the support and program teams in the NRC field office in Shostka
  • Organize and facilitate proper coordination and cooperation in the NRC field office in Shostka through regular team meetings
  • Under the close supervision of the AM, represent the NRC externally in Shostka and liaise with local authorities (regional civil-military administration, community administrations, etc.), UN agencies, other NGOs and support teams in daily access negotiations as needed
  • Under the general supervision of the AM, ensure close cooperation with the HAS coordinator in Chernihiv and support the HAS staff to ensure the application and compliance of security protocols.
  • Responsible for providing supporting documentation (SSD) for supporting documents in NRC Field Office departments in Shostka
  • Create a good work environment based on NRC values
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the AM.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in humanitarian/recovery support services
  • Prior experience in complex and unstable environments
  • Prior management experience
  • Documented results related to job duties
  • Practical knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is a significant advantage
  • Fluent command of the Ukrainian language, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of the Ukrainian context and political dynamics
  • Managing resources to optimize results• Managing performance and development
  • Strong context monitoring and analytical skills.
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills.
  • Resilience and ability to work in dangerous environments.
  • Ability to inspire and build trust.
