The All-Ukrainian Association of Local Government Bodies "Association of Cities of Ukraine" (hereinafter - AMU) announces a competition to fill the vacant position of an expert on establishing cooperation between Ukrainian and European municipalities.
Working conditions:termemployment contract, full-time, place of work - AMU office in Kyiv.
Main responsibilities of thecandidate:
- establishing partnerships between local self-government bodies of Ukraine and EU countries;
- constant interaction with local self-government associations and other EU structures;
- consultative support of Ukrainian communities in cooperation with municipalities EU;
- representing the interests of Ukrainian local governments in matters of international cooperation;
- data collection and analysis, preparation of analytical and presentation materials;
- organization and holding of events, study visits and bilateral meetings between communities of Ukraine and the EU;
- participation in working groups, seminars, conferences;
- consecutive translation during working meetings;
- translation of letters, working materials from Ukrainian in English and from English in Ukrainian;
- preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
- participation in filling the thematic publications and the AMU website with materials on cooperation with the EU.
Main requirements for the candidate:
- higher education in the fields of international relations, political science, law, economics or public management;
- work experience in the field of international cooperation or project implementation;
- understanding of the principles of work of local self-government bodies of Ukraine and EU institutions;
- ability to systematize and structure information, interpret statistical indicators;
- ability to work with large volumes of information;
- skills in preparing reports, conclusions, reviews and training materials;
- experience in conducting trainings and webinars, organizing events, work meetings;
- previous experience of working in local self-government bodies or with local self-government bodies (will be an advantage); abroad;
- owning a PC.
