POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provides design, methodical support, coordination and control of the implementation of monitoring and consulting activities in the field protection Responsible for developing standards (SOPs, protocols, instructions), developing team competencies, and improving the quality of field work. Represents the expert position of the program on professional platforms and in communication with donors.

OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing protection monitoring and advisory activities in line with program priorities and donor requirements.
  • Developing standard operating procedures, protocols, instructions, templates and quality indicators.
  • Coordinating the process of familiarizing the team with updated standard operating procedures.
  • Participation in the creation and meaningful filling of informational, educational, educational and methodological materials for the implementation of activities (booklets, leaflets, posters, videos, presentations, etc.). development and implementation of the methodology for conducting monitoring studies, planning the schedule for the preparation of monitoring digests and reports based on the results of studies.
  • Providing expert advice to regional teams, other programs and functional departments on issues of monitoring and consulting in the field of protection.
  • Conducting monitoring visits to the regions (at least 2 per quarter) and documentary quality checks of the implementation of activities.
  • Analysis of the fulfillment of targets, compliance with standards, identification of problems and provision of recommendations.
  • Generalization of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Participation in internal and external audits activities.
  • Development and implementationmethodology for testing knowledge of standards and procedures among program employees.
  • Operational management of a team of data managers (through a senior data manager).
  • Participation in the selection, evaluation and coordination of the work of a senior data manager.
  • Conducting regular 1:1, annual evaluations, providing feedback to the senior data manager.
  • Resolving conflicts, supporting the senior data manager in crisis or difficult management situations.
  • Controlling the use of working hours / service time, approval of MTR and business trips of the senior data manager.
  • Ensuring prevention of burnout and psychological support of the senior data manager and the team of data managers.
  • Participation in the preparation of project proposals, applications and other materials for donors in part, that requires expertise on issues of monitoring and consulting in the field of protection.
  • Participation in the preparation of project, program and other reports in the part that requires expertise on issues of monitoring and consulting in the field of protection.
  • Development of the logic of interventions, indicators, budget justifications.
  • Presentation of the expert position of the program at meetings with donors, partners, authorities.
  • Participation in cluster meetings, forums, conferences.
  • Preparation of presentations, theses and other materials that require expertise on issues of monitoring and consulting in the field of protection.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education in the field of social sciences — sociology, law, social psychology, political science, public administration, international relations or other relevant specialties.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the fields of humanitarian protection, protection monitoring, analytics or consulting in the field of human rights protection, of which at least 1 year in an expert, management or coordination position in the field of protection.
  • Experience in preparation of analytical materials, needs assessments, reports or recommendations for protection programs.
  • Experience of cooperation with international donors, participation in the development or implementation of protection projects will be an advantage.
  • Experience of coaching or methodical activity will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently in compliance with defined terms
  • Understanding humanitarian principles, mainstream protection standards, PSEA and accountability to the affected population.
  • Good communication skills, courtesy and diplomacy.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian, working level of Englishin your language.
