BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by hostilities, refugees and stateless persons. The Foundation is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights. shelter for IDPs, returnees and war-affected population in Ukraine".

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The consultant on the activities of paralegals will be responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting on the organization of the activities of paralegals on behalf of the Fund. The main purpose of the activity is to train and support the practical activities of paralegals by preparing and distributing methodological materials and recommendations, providing direct advice on setting up work and communicating with beneficiaries, processing referrals from paralegals, mentoring from the beginning of the real lifezations to the final result. The consultant on the activities of paralegals under the direct supervision of the Paralegal specialist (coordinator) reports to theCoordinator of the Foundation's public legal assistance program or his deputies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY none">Conducting training of paralegals;

fulfilling the duties assigned to them;

  • Collection and analysis of requests from and to paralegals, providing recommendations on improving their work, providing recommendations on expanding or narrowing the scope of competences;

  • Regular development and sending of informational and analytical materials regarding meaningful changes in information distributed by paralegals;

  • Processing referrals from paralegals, providing legal advice to beneficiaries, making referrals of beneficiaries within the Program or Fund;

  • Preparation of high-quality and timely reports.

  • Ensure complete, accurate documentation

    in accordance with legal norms, rules of ethics, preserving the confidentiality of the beneficiary;
  • Ensure accuracy, content and timeliness statistical and analytical reports,

  • Fund. 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Higher education in law or international law;

    • Due to gender sensitivity and zero tolerance harassment;

    • Practical experience of providing legal assistance in individual cases;

    • Fluency in the Ukrainian language;

    • Experience of working with internally displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities will be advantage;

    • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
