GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won the first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine rating of "50 best charitable organizations" and took 9th place in the integrity rating of Ukrainian charitable foundations.

Who can become a consultant:

  • Active residents of communities who have developed communication skills and are ready to proactively find people who need legal help in connection with martial law.
  • Persons who are ready to undergo basic online training to provide advice on: 1. public services and how to contact relevant institutions; 2. mechanisms for obtaining free legal aid; 3. referral to the lawyers of the Foundation for free professional support.

OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing informationon basic issues of protection and access to public services, information on ways to obtain legal assistance free of charge, proactive identification of persons in need of such support.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • of the world, the presence of a higher education or secondary-special education in the humanitarian or economic direction will be an advantage;

  • Interest, motivation and willingness to perform the role of consultant(s), sociability, politeness and a proactive attitude towards providing support to people in difficult life situations;

  • Understanding the importance of legal aid for IDPs and other victims of wars;

  • Willingness to get acquainted under the mentorship of lawyers with the system of free legal aid in Ukraine and humanitarian mechanisms for providing legal aid in the country and community of residence/stay;

  • Sufficient interpersonal skills, empathy in working with IDPs;

  • style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Proficiency in the Ukrainian language;

  • Availability of a personal computer (or laptop/tablet) with Internet access, skills in using such programs such as: MS Word,Google Forms, Google Sheets, ZOOM, Google Meet;

  • The foundation offers to the candidate:

    • Contract until the end of June 2026 with the possibility of extension, depending on further funding and personal work results. 

    • Psychological support.

    • Part-time employment, up to 40% employment per month (64 hours);

    • Flexibility of work mode; hybrid format - offline in the place of residence/online;

    • Educational materials for familiarization, short training process online, mentoring support of lawyers during the entire period of cooperation;

    • The fee for services provided is approximately 12 thousand hryvnias per month, the Fund pays all taxes and fees on its own.
