BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. Since the beginning of the war in Eastern Ukraine, as well as after the full-scale invasion, the Foundation has monitored the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in various regions of Ukraine. 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kyiv region has become a place where a significant number of internally displaced persons are concentrated. This region became a kind of stronghold for those who were forced to leave their hometowns and villages and to this day is a place where people stay after displacement and continue to rebuild their lives.

In order to cover the problems of such people, the BF "Right to Protection" in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency is implementing a project "Advocacy, protection and legal assistance for internally displaced persons".

For the implementation of this project "The right to Defense" is looking for a candidate for the position ofCareer development specialist.

GEOGRAPHY COVERAGE

Career development specialist based in Dnipro. Activities may involve travel within Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Individual work with the beneficiaries of the project to improve their competencies in resume writing, self-presentation, job search and applying for employment or self-employment;

  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with employment centers, centers providing social servicesservants, places of temporary residence of beneficiaries, non-governmental public organizations, various socially responsible companies, employers and other stakeholders in the areas determined by the project;

  • Creation and permanent expansion database of employers for employment of beneficiaries;

  • Individual and group work with beneficiaries in order to prepare them for employment or self-employment, including:

  • Education on basic communication skills (eg , correct resume writing; understanding employers' expectations, communication with employers, etc.);

  • < span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Help in finding vacancies and self-development opportunities; 

  • Support in the process of applying for employment;

  • Getting to know the ways of starting your own business and assisting in this process;

  • Mentoring of beneficiaries after employment issues and ensuring permanent works;

  • Preparation of written explanations and information materials;

  • Ensuring complete, thorough, accurate documentation in a proper manner in accordance with legal norms and ethical rules;

  • Ensuring the accuracy, content and timeliness of statistical and analytical reports and other relevant working documents;

  • Conducting trainings, information sessions and presentations;

  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education in economics or socio-economic development, business administration, social work, psychology or other related field;

  • Experience in consulting, sales, marketing, human resources or related field preferred;

  • The possibility of making regular trips to the areas defined by the project;

  • Customer orientation, courtesy and diplomacy;

  • Executing duties in a gender, age-sensitive and zero-tolerance manner for sexual harassment;

  • Fluency in Ukrainian languages;

  • Experience working with internally displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities will

    preferred;
  • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines;

  • Ability to work closely with team members;

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail;

  • Self-motivation;

  • Flexibility.
