Per Diem is paid in addition to hourly rate. 40+ hours and some travel required. 6-12 month Contract PositionSerious and qualified applicants apply.This full-time Contract position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the organization's supply chain management and operations, including procurement, vendor relations, production, logistics, and distribution across multiple locations. Responsibilities Oversee and seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain strategy by reviewing current methodology and processes.Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment, and delivery, and returns on products.Plan and implement forecast projections to drive production and inventory planning goals.Review proposals, negotiate prices, select, or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records. May prepare bid packages.Generate reports and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.Track KPIs and generate reports for supply chain performance.Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage.Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods.Collaborate with other departments to create effective databases to manage and organize inventory.Build and maintain a relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business analytics, mathematics, or other relevant field5+ years of experience in supply chain operationsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint MRP experience required)Purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment highly requiredExceptional communication and organizational skillsMust be US CitizenRequired Skills Knowledge of raw materials, production, processes, quality controls and costsUnderstand and use techniques for effective control of delivered quality, cost, and schedule.Ability to work in and with an ERP/MRP system (Deltek Costpoint MRP)Excellent computer skills including a high degree of skill in ExcelDemonstrated problem solving, quantitative analysis, and analytical abilities.Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate business results and department needs across all levels of the organization.Team player with a proactive, positive attitude, and a strong sense of self-motivations, accountability, and responsibilityProven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.Familiarity with manufacturing/processing environment preferred.
