The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, maintenance, and shipping, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety throughout our manufacturing processes. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and hands-on operational experience in the food processing industry.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, including production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.Lead and oversee a team of production, maintenance, shipping and logistics personnel to ensure optimal performance and productivity.Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, streamline workflows, and meet or exceed production targets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and procurement, to support new product development and introduce innovative solutions.Evaluate existing equipment and technology, identify opportunities for upgrades or replacements, and oversee the procurement process for new equipment.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress, track metrics, and evaluate performance against company goals.Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning, promoting employee development and engagement.Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term strategies for business growth and expansion.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Proven track record of success in operations management, engineering management, or plant management roles within the meat processing industry.Strong technical expertise in meat processing technologies, equipment, and manufacturing processes.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, drive change, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial management.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to food safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.Join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization.
