Web & Branding designer for a digital agency.

Stera Global is a web design and branding agency, primarily working with clients from US, Canada and Australia, sometimes EU. Our client base is quite diverse - we work with enterprise, agencies and startups. We're best known for our emphasis on quality, functionality and attention to detail. Currently we're looking for web & branding designer to join our remote team.

Our requirements :

Position Type : remote full-time position.

Experience : strong junior/middle position, experience working on web design & branding projects is a must. Good understanding of typography principles is a must.

Type of design : web design & branding projects, also web platforms or mobile apps but rarely.

1. Good English, experience working directly with native-speaking clients is a plus.

2. Experience working with developers (dev handoff & componentization).

3. Portfolio - great design portfolio of branding & web design projects is a must. Please don't apply without a strong web design & branding portfolio. Web platform & mobile app design portfolio is a plus, but not a dealbreaker.

4. Ability to estimate projects and fit into these estimates.

5. Ability and desire to reach high quality expectations.

Responsibilities :

For every new project, the process usually looks like this :

1. You receive a new project for estimation from a project manager

2. You review the documentation and/or discuss the project with owners, project manager, art director, spend some time estimating and then provide an estimate in a form of X hrs of effort.

3. Project manager creates a proposal & presents to the client. If the project is awarded, we move on with the design.

4. Once the project is approved, you work on the design in sync with the project manager and art director. You work on the design in sync with the team, fitting in the deadlines agreed with the project manager and delivering results for review every 1-3 days.

5. You receive monthly payments based your agreed salary.

On most projects you will be working with one of our founders, along with a team of designers, developers, SEO experts and end client team (Founders, C-level execs, Senior Marketing and Product VPs or Project Managers). You will be responsible for design quality, working within our design standards and developer handoff.

Our team is based in the EU and US, with people located in US, Poland, Denmark, Ireland and Ukraine. The majority are Ukrainians.
