She/he willcontribute to the efficient and effective WASH/Shelter implementation of the DCA Ukraine Office, with a responsibility of providing support to local partners, monitoring and liaison with local stakeholders and other departments and deputising for the WASH Manager.Responsibilities:Planning, design, implementation and monitoring/tracking of small-scale infrastructural construction projectsPrepare and monitor contractual engagements of consultant companies for large-scale/complex projectsProvide technical assistance and guidance to local partnersEvaluate the technical status of projects and propose any amendment steps to achieve project objectivesManage relations and communication with relevant authoritiesSupport thetimely development of donor proposalsSupport coordination of DCA/NCA’s water, sanitation and hygiene sector programmeSupport coordination of DCA/NCA activities in WASH/Shelter with other actors and partnersCommunicate with partners for progress monitoring, in support of the programmes MEAL teamCollecting and facilitating feedback and Lessons Learnt with local partnersSubmit regular technical and organizational reports as requiredContribute to country office strategies, reviews, action and contingency plansSupport program accountability to partners, national government, benefiting communities and donors.The experience we’re looking for includes:Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related.Minimum 1 year of work experience as a practising engineer.Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and supervision.Excellent interpersonal communication, ability to communicate effectively on culturally sensitive issues to diverse audiences.Ability to be proactive and work independently.Ability to operate in a high stress and unpredictable environment.Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Ukranian is requiredWork related travels are expected in this position.All interested candidates irrespective of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, abilities or ethnic affiliation are encouraged to apply for the vacancy.
