The company’s mission is to optimize personalized therapeutics while reducing the delays and inefficiencies in achieving and maintaining the best patient-provider outcomes.The Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) will play a critical role in shaping the future of our regulated product development from design to full-scale commercialization. The charter for this role is to ensure product development efforts are delivered on-time and within budget while adhering to the highest quality standards and all pertinent regulations. This will require a unique blend of leadership, project management expertise, and an understanding of the technology, medical device, and pharmaceutical sectors. The successful candidate will not only build the PMO to support strategic goals, but also ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all projects, with a particular emphasis on the early phases of product development and the integration of project management systems across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Establish the PMO: Define the mission, objectives, and operational framework of the PMO. Develop strategies for setting up the PMO structure, processes, and governance models.Lead and Manage the PMO Team: Ensure successful project delivery, particularly focusing on the early phases of product development, meeting quality, time, and budget requirements.Implement Project Management Software Solutions: Select and implement project management software solutions tailored to assist with resource-constrained planning, enhancing project scheduling, resource allocation, and overall project efficiency.Project Management Policies and Methodologies: Implement and refine project management policies, methodologies, and best practices. Incorporate earned value management (EVM) techniques to track project performance and progress.Develop Project Managers: Mentor and develop project managers and teams, enhancing their skills in project management, with a focus on early product development stages, EVM, and system integration.Stakeholder Communication: Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.Project Management Reporting Systems: Define enterprise-wide project management reporting systems including key performance indicators, dashboards, and other project management review tools for deployment across the organization.Implement Regulatory and Project Management Risk Tools: In collaboration with Regulatory, implement risk-based tools throughout project teams.Integration with IT and Finance: Work closely with the IT and Finance departments to integrate project management systems with other functional parts of the organization, such as contracting and the controller office.Collaborate with Contractors: Implement project management systems that facilitate seamless collaboration and integration with contractors and external partners, ensuring alignment and consistency across all projects.Monitor Project Progress: Using structured project management systems, identify potential risks and issues related to performance, time, and cost risks. Work collaboratively across the organization and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are achieved.Foster Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO and project teams, encouraging innovation and efficiency in project delivery.Contribute to Strategic Planning: Contribute at the executive level in defining and refining the company’s strategic plan while ensuring projects contribute to the long-term success of the company.Qualifications:Advanced business and/or engineering degree.Formal project management education, training, and certification.10+ years’ experience in senior project management roles with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on-time and within budget.Strong software development experience with demonstrated success working in high technology industries preferred.Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Demonstrated ability to think strategically, drive excellence, and execute efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
