For more information, visit redditinc.com.Reddit is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented User Data Policy Senior Specialist to support Reddit’s Trust & Safety Policy (TSP) team. TSP focuses on a variety of trust and safety areas, with a particular emphasis on protecting the expression rights and private information of communities and users across Reddit through strategic solutions that balance defensible risk. Within TSP, the User Data Policy team crafts strategies, policies, and workflows necessary to handle global legal requests for user account information, data protection requests, and various child safety initiatives.This role will primarily be focused on processing U.S. and global law enforcement and government requests for account information, supporting distributed teammates around the world, and protecting user rights, including privacy and due process.What You’ll DoReview and process legal requests for user information from U.S. and global law enforcement and government agencies Participate in the Trust & Safety Policy on-call rotation, which reviews and processes Emergency Disclosure Requests involving law enforcement on a 24x7 basisDevelop and update internal processes and workflows to mitigate legal risk and enhance effectiveness Manage internal escalations and educate partner teams on our policies and proceduresIdentify and proactively communicate trends in order to inform decisions on policy and workflow developmentWork cross-functionally with Legal, Anti-Evil Operations, Community, and Engineering teams in order to efficiently carry out job responsibilitiesTroubleshoot and identify bugs or user-related issues and work with our stakeholders to seek resolutions or fixes while mitigating riskWhat We’re Looking For3+ years relevant work experience, specifically handling legal requests for user information from U.S. law enforcement and/or government agencies.
