SC "Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights" is looking for a trainer for the Project "Minimum package of integrated social services for families with children". to consolidate efforts and improve coordination between civil society organizations in Ukraine and their influence on state policy in the field of ensuring children's rights.

Tasks: conducting training on access control and development of alternative forms of child care for representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations during the implementation of integrated social services in territorial communities of Kharkiv region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a training program taking into account training topics: gatekeeping, alternative forms of care, assessment of child and family needs, practical aspects of care organization, emotional and psychological support of children;
  • Create presentations and handouts for training. Include theoretical information, practical examples and tasks using different methods of training and interaction with participants;
  • Conduct training on control of access and development of alternative forms of care for children (gatekeeping);
  • Strengthen participants' awareness of alternative forms of care. Provide practical tools and strategies for the effective implementation of these forms.
  • Prepare case studies and group exercises that will be used during the training to consolidate the material.
  • Conducting online communication or questionnaires of the Project’s target communities to identify the most common problems in communities regarding access control and the development of alternative forms of childcare;
  • Providing training participants with advice on issues that arise during training;
  • Preparation of reporting documentation based on the results of the training.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Higher education by specialty: pedagogy, psychology, sociology, social development or other relevant;
  • Experience of working in the field of school and extra-curricular education or in the social field for at least 5 years;
  • Awareness in the field of child rights protection and social work;
  • Knowledge of legislation in the field of child rights protection and social protection;
  • Experience of working with families with children, with families who have fallen into difficult life circumstances, and socially vulnerable groups population;
  • Understanding the specifics of the work of children's services, centers of social services and social protection;
  • Experience in the sector of non-governmental organizations is an added advantage;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with representatives of various departments, professional groups of various levels, with experts in other fields (law, finance, housing and others);
  • Ability to identify interested parties and determine their positions;
  • Trust and self-confidence, as well as the ability to welcome this in others;
  • Ability to work with databases, prepare reporting documents.
